I don't know if you guys had noticed but I haven't been around much lately.

It was due to the fact that a certain aspect of the site almost brought me oh so close to quitting for good and I thought I had left.. I didn't want to do the whole pathetic "I'm leaving thread"..

But now I realise... KB means everything to me.. Well it used to but even though I'm not in here 24/7 anymore, due to work comitments and other things these days, KB is still a very important part of my life.

Through out the 2.5 years, it has brought a lot of good in me and if it wasn't for KB and it's members, I wouldn't have got into racing and I wouldn't have met all the fine people or become the man I am today.

So I came to the conclusion that trying to run away from the site wasn't going to solve anything. I know a LOT has changed and it is by no means as good as it used to be but it's still has a lot of good in it (like all my mates!).

So anywho, I'm getting me a road bike sorted soon and I'll be an active member again, out on rides etc and just watch out... big things are being planned as far as my racing plans go.

Yea, I was still posting a few times every now and then to wish happy birthdays and to organise that social meet to catch up with my mates. I was still using the site to keep in touch with mates. But yea, after a long time now, I wana finally get bak into it all. Rides, talking shit on the site, the whole lot. :)

Investing too much time and energy in ANY online community will always cause you problems. A community like this site is open to anyone and will constantly evolve and change. Whether the changes are good or bad is up to you and how you take them.

There may be people that you object to but they're part of the community and leaving because of them is achieving their goals for them. Make liberal use of the Ignore list, it's the only way. Many people have a cry cos they reckon they shouldn't need to use the Ignore list, and in an ideal world we wouldn't need it. But this isn't an ideal world. It's an electronic (not even made of air, it's all electrons) world with people behind screens, so the Ignore list is necessary and will save you a lot of grief.

Good that you've come back. Look forward to riding with you some time.
