Look at the size of the wheels on this thing! They would make it a slug, wouldn't they?

Nah, this is a quadbike STI Subaru powered, Even WRC Subaru driver Petter Solberg wanted one when he saw it earler this year here in New Zeland. It lives down in the Waikato.:woohoo:

Saw it on Import X, looked like good fun. It's power to weight ratio would be phenominal

Saw a trike last night that had the backhalf of a series 3 RX7 on the back. Not a very tidy mod either (maybe in prototype stage).

I heard the STi guy wanted to enter it into the Guinness Book of Records but they told it it wasn't a quad.

then what is it?
isn't a cage any more.. isn't a buggy..

I saw it on ImportX too, but I was hoping they'd show more of it and more details, and see it moving around. From what I recall, it berely made 2 minutes on the show..

If Petter want one, then I want one!
Put studded tyres on it and I have a car for this winter! ;-)

Its got a subaru engine so it isn't a quad. any motorcycle engine in it makes it a "quad"

Its got a subaru engine so it isn't a quad. any motorcycle engine in it makes it a "quad"So by that reckoning, any car fitted with a motorcycle engine is a bike?

that's why he built it, isn't it..??

Wellyman, so if they put that engine in a light aircraft, it's not an aircraft any more, so I just need a car license? sweet.. What about Suzuki's.. They must really be buggered, making cars and bikes and quads etc.. all those engines
An engine doesn't define what vehicle it is

Quite right, scanning down the "editorial" page on his site tho reveals the bad news . . .

As for the Race to the Sky hill climb, the event organizer said he would run like to run it in the event but the N.Z. motor sport official said "NO WAY to a car engined Quad bike.
