I know this has been posted in the CDMTCI forum, but for those of you (myself included!) who look for upcoming events in THIS forum, here are the details.
Central Districts Motorcycle Touring Club Inc Annual Toy Run, December 17.
Meet by the Feilding clock tower at 12.00 with a briefing at 12.45 for a 1pm departure.
Join us for a senic back country ride to Palmerston North where your toys will be gratefully received by Barnardos.
Badges will be available and a sausage sizzle and refreshments will be available at the end of the ride.
Look forward to seeing you all there.
And don't forget our Manfeild open day on January 14.

I know it's the week before Christmas, but what better excuse do you need for a ride? The toy run is on THIS Saturday, December 17, and involves riding on some great back country roads of the Manawatu - no 10kph crawl through crowded city streets in the sweltering heat, this is a REAL ride!
Bring toys (preferably not stuffed toys) to donate to Barnardos and help the needy children.

Count me in. Anyone else from the Hawkes Bay going over?

A couple of our members live in Napier so it's highly likely they will be heading over - Ross and Paul if you've come across them before.
Make sure you bring some good weather with you, Grumpy, but not quite as hot as today! (32C inside and about 28C outside.)

I'll be there. Looks like there will be a lot of bikes on the road tomorrow, with a run from Welly to Taupo also going on. Looking forward to it!

And could you all please pray tonight that the damned weather plays ball? Fingers crossed any rain will come around nightfall!

As a member of CDMTCI, I'd just like to say a big thanks to everyone who attended our toy run today and were generous with their donations of toys to Barnardos. Grumpy was there and lots of other familiar faces - all up, about 70 bikes took part in the ride. We were VERY lucky with the weather (apart from it being stinking hot - stopping for a mob of sheep was not a pleasant experience in that heat!) - we got home about 4pm and it's just rained now (from about 5pm).
We got a good range of toys for all ages and completely sold out of badges too. Thanks again, everyone, and we hope to see you again this time next year.

Well done you guys. My first time on your toy run. Excellent. Next year for sure.
