they sold out in 15 minutes. already they are on trademe for stupid money. One for $5000 and another fucking theif is trying to sell a pair for $4000 or $4500 buy now. I don't care about the concert and if someone actually pays $4000 to see U2, then more the fool they are. It would be cheaper to fly to the US or England or Aussie and see them there then it would to pay some fucking looser $4500 for what he just payed $200 for.Sorry, nothing to do with bikes or KB, just wanted to bitch....

they're doing a second concert now. Just overheard how someone was on the phone continuously and got 8 tickets for her friends. Then when she hung up, someone else was shouting around, cos they had sold out..
wish I was that popular..

Mate my daughter is after tickets...and I havent heard back yet if her mates got any this morning...They were online at 9am.

Some people were first in line at Postshop.... and they were told SOLD OUT.
Like what the Fark they had only just opened up the shop and its sold out.

Trade Me message board is running hot about the cost of the tickets that the scalpers are selling them now at.

It sucks big time... when genuine people want to go and see U2 and cant get tickets.

My daughter is a huge fan of them.... has all the DVD's, poster and calenders up around the wall. She will be spitting tacks if she cant get to see them cos of these scalpers.
And I wont ever live it down... cos I wouldnt let her go when they came out the last time... cos she was very young....

So if anyone has a ticket going for $99 she will want one... her other 3 mates will be trying to get tickets as well.

I was: going to go.
I am now: going to buy a dvd instead.

I was: going to go the the staduim early and be bored till it starts.
I am now: going to go and have a ride and a really nice day, come home, relax in my comfy lounge and play the dvd on my killer surround sound system.

I was: going to spend upwards of $400
I am now: Going to get out of it for a tank of gas and $39.95.

I was: going to be hassled by being in that big a crowd. (hate em)
I am now: Going to have a select few for a U2 party.

fuck the u2 tickets. next!

Interesting to hear they sold out so fast. We managed to get 5 tickets and my friends all got 8 each over the phone. None of us are going to scalp them as everyone should have a chance to go to a concert like this (by the way the amount of people who claim to be your friend wehn you say you have 8 tickets is phenominal:banana: ). Those tossers on tardme need to be shot.

already at 1200 for a couple of general addmission tickets, and one set of two are at 1,000,000 but that obviously a piss take

but they have heaps of questions etc

how many k's has it got?
what condition is the ticket in?
has it been thrashed..?? pfft..

Money grabing degenerates - supply out strips demand - buy 8 tickets for $200 a pop and you'll get a 10 fold increase on your investment,at least, its hard to know how your going to stop that kinda shit. reckon they should make the tickets non-transferable like airline tickets, its a bit big brother, but then paying $5000 for a $200 ticket is the free market ecenomy gone mad.

Ah I'm just pissed 'cus I wanted to see my fellow country men go large on paddies day. maybe i'll hang out out side with a flaggen of cider instead, you'd probably see as much.

Legal innit?

I don't see the huge fuss personally, U2 are ok but nothing to get a hard on for. Watch the DVD like Big Dave, it's not like they are renowned for their improvisation or hour long jams.

Or go to the Cock and Bull, sink $100 of piss and watch some cover band play their stuff. It'll be just like the real thing.........

Hey Rhino, lets start a U2 covers band and get a gig on St Pat's, I'm sure we could make a few bucks!

For that price , fly business / 1st class overseas and see then in a different country. Check out ticketmaster.com instead. Some friends saw them in Ireland recently for half of that BS.

Haha, this is where it gets good. Trademe have only disabled the accounts of the lower memebers like me, and those who use trademe regulary and give them a high volume of cash have not been disabled. AND now to contact trademe, I have to phone them at the tune of $1.99 a minute as they have no email and their FAQ doesn't cover disabled accounts

Moral of story: Never bid on trademe :spudgrr:

Perhaps they should have filled western springs? What am I saying - the residents would object to all that noise!!!:slap:
