Hi Guys.
Want to get back on the road and I'm looking for a bike. Ideal is 1400 or 1500 intruder or similar. Anyone got one sitting in the shed that needs to be ridden more because it keeps getting dusty?. I want the cruiser style, but those Buells keep tempting me as well.:blip: Thanks

I know of a guy in town selling a Virago 1100.

I've seen this bike in person as it's on the road out to Raglan. Very clean. Can take a closer look and attempt a testride for you if you can't do so yourself.

Cheers for info. Just some basic info would be good, ie year kms colour and indication of pricing. I used to have a XV750 [ I'm sure it used to valve bounce at 150klicks topspeed] it was a good bike, how do you find your 1100, have you had it long?

Sign said about the same as the Trademe listing, Can wing by later to check Ks.
Colour is light blue with white/tan accents on the tank. Think it was a '94but willdouble check when I go by to look at the Ks. In fact sun just came out for a bit and have nothing to do. Might go by and seeif I can have a yarn with the guy for ya.
EDIT: Says it all on the trademe add but will go double check it anyway.

Yea mate, everything on the tradee add is straight up.
It also comes with Saddle Bags, Tool Bag(the one that hangs just under the headight)Bike cover, and a spare seat (wich I would be very interested in if you do end up getting this one and you don't want it)
Bike is in very good condition aswell.
Asking just under $7k but you may be able to negotiate.

cheers for checking it out. What do you think about the km's I don't know how long they can run until rebuild. Did you take it for a run or start it. Sounds like its a genuine tidy bike.

Nah didn't take it for a spin. Figured to leave that to you to talk about with them.
The Km's on it are good, done probably 4 times that on mine and only problems I had with it was the idler gears and starter clutch wearing out. Not a hard thing to fix if it goes out, but that doesn't happen to all of them.

I'm leaning towards intruder 1400 at the moment or a Vulcan. The XV 1100 looks to be the same frame as the 750 and that was borderline small. They are still great bikes though the XV and I am not sure which way to go. Choices, choices:slap:

Not all that small. The 750 was a bit smaller, atleast the one I saw. Come down and have a look anyway mate. What harm can it do?

Your right it won't do any harm to have a look. I've got the guys number and If I'm over dinsdale way I will have a look. But I think an intruder will have more grunt due to that extra 300cc. Thanks again for having a look at it.

Yo Waylander. I thought I had a phone number for that blue 1100, it seems I do not. Can you score his number or address. Next time I'm in Hamilton I should still go and have a look. Cheers
