I don't know if this has been posted before, but there is an excellent motorcycle training video available from www.atsb.gov.au . It is called Ride On, and I am nearly sure, that it still only costs AU$20. Well worth the money.
Goes through acquainting yourself with your bike, or an unfamiliar bike, proper braking techniques, lifesavers, countersteering to avoid a sudden obstacle, high risk situations, and low risk situations, limit point analysis (which will give you your entry speed, and severity and general reading of a corner) etc.
Comes with a booklet as well.
I have a couple of copies, if anyone is interested in buying them. But to be quite honest, I use them for training purposes, and it is equally as easy to buy from OZ, as for me to send out to you. Plus they usually throw in a couple of free pamphlets, which are also excellent learning resource material.

Hi Tricia1000, welcome to the site! :)

Your link is broken by the way, Aus sites use gov rather than govt.

The Ride On DVD can be found about halfway down this page (http://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/order_forms/safety_materials_road.aspx).

Folks--For those of you that don't know
This lady Really knows what she's on about. She has been a riding instructor in the UK and would definitely be the person to talk to if you want to upskill your riding.

I've just sussed popping the front wheel at 100. Does this video show how to pop it up safely at 150? Also, I'm new to stoppies but would like some good tips first! Also, Is there any sections on outrunning the Police?
I do know a certain rider with some good credentials on that topic!
