Ah yeah. Fark its hot tonight. Wicked sunset tho.
Joni arrived. She would have offered hot sweaty bikers a drink but Kickaha had NONE. He did have a 3 day old pie on the stove, but we flagged it cos he might have actually cooked it himself. Nah, there are cobwebs on his stove elements... (as there should be aye man)
Anyways... the SV got some aftermarket treatment (yeah yeah, it's still just an SV though)
1. Joni, some strange lady who was telling the freak to get his hand off it (she's alwayas telling him, he's a slow learner)
2. Same retard - fast way to bleed the rear brakes
3. Colour matched seat cowl + hugger (same guy that did Aarons R1) + Powerbronze radiator/oil protectors + custom fender elim & integrated LED indicators
4. Again
5. Jodi's luggage mover + the kids
6. Rashika's lack of throttle control can be hazardous to lawns - close call missing the cat too.... phew...

Cheerz man
Needed the rack to get the hugger to D's - he had the mouting bracket... yeah, doesn't really enhance the style aye...
Jees - first time ever i nailed it coming onto one of the northern motorway onramps - front wheel went minor skyward and then just keep "bouncing" until it turned into full on tankslapper - didn't react to well... just kept it nailed and by the time i had her under control i was half way up D's ass end.... i don't think he saw a thing..... twas close!!

1. How the hell can the freaks hand be on it when his hands in his pocket, and yet 'it' hangs down near the knee
2. best and fastest way to remove OEM parts.....
Manu yells out D... 'cant loosen this screw' (his missus does all the hard stuff at their place including dressing him) so I grabed us both a beer, I removed the OEM shit at the rear with the bolt cutters (cos Manu said... 'ohhhh how does this come off' I said 'watch this'
anyway I removed the header pipe, belly pan and OEM radiator guard fitted the new shit and replaced it all again.... and I drunk my beer..... looked up and Manu was still trying to get the cap off his beer :slap:
6. Yeah well TonyB always said that bike was a lawn mower (sorry bout ya mint lawn Kickaha)

OHHHHH... yeah I was watching in the mirror as I nailed the Guzzler to the red zone, even with 91hp I still left the 110hp japper behind  was funny watching the SV weave out of control from one side of the rd to the other (thought Suzuki solved that TL habit on the SV)
Yeah, i have this strange freakin feeling he enjoys it when it shits itself, like "phew, it's a real guzzi", not one of those clockwork jappa shitters....
Ya know... when we arived at Kickahas i was just stoked that the spaggiti wiring dident go up in a puff a smoke and the bike shit its self :violin:

WOuld have to say that since I have a relatively uncommon bike, and Im still kinda learning, I would rather not ride with guys that have the same bike. When youre riding a 'slowish-top speed' 250, the individuals riding skill is shown a bit more. Cant blame the bike if youre slower than he is (pathetic I know).

Nah, there's another person in Wellington with enough nouse to avoid the Gixxer trap.
You know why they don't bother buildinng Gixxer's with a decent finish? Because the average lifespan of a Gixxer is about 9 months.

thats coz there such awesome machines their owners ride them more often than competing marques...so exposed to the elements more I guess

Which jury??? I havent read that many reviews but the ones I have said that its brilliant. Anyway...lets avoid this decending into superbike comparisons. I dont need 636/GSXR power...I think the 675/650/600 looks better than anyting else in that class (as far as I can remember). ;)

I had this really odd sensation...riding along and I kept seeing this light off in the distance, then got closer to the motorway and saw it again....ahhhh the light goes off in me brain: it was my headlight reflecting of road signs, so YES in answer to your queries about the brightness of the headlights at night they are AWESOME! :2thumbsup

just to keep you happy, i remember that thread you posted about getting pulled for a tinted visor. Last night at 9:20pm (darkish) i rode through a major cattle stop - 14 pigs + all the flashing lights you'd ever want to see.
When i say rode through it, i mean they waved me on... tinted visor and all.. hehe..... so it was just a one off for you, not a policy thing....
If the elements you mention are, gravel, tarseal, fence posts, and turkeys, then yes they probably are more exposed to the elements.

The SV is definately a great bike, good value for money!
About a month ago I pulled into a petrol station in Woodville, no less than five SV's there. They're so common now. Seeing so many around I've recently become very used to their look. Quietly, I'm glad I've moved on!
However, I'll always be fond of the old SV!
