after I have been for ride on my bike I park it up in garage and the next day I come to ride it and there is always a puddle of oil (2 inches of diameter) I'm pretty sure its coming from one of the pipes (breather?) that come from the engine and end facing the ground is this normal? Or do i have problem

Doesn't sound normal. Two smokers don't normally leak oil. (may a drop or two from the gearbox breather, but not a puddle). sounds as if your gearbox may be pressurising. That signals failed crankshaft seals, which is bad. But are you sure its not from the chain?

Its blue oil, which is the colour of the 2 stroke oil i use. (castrol tts)

Hm. That's more reassuring. Might just be leak. Best to get it checked out, anyway, should not be making oily puddles, sounds as it's getting ideas beyond it's station and thinking it's a Triumph [sits back and wiats for the Hinkleys to respond]

could be he just overfilled it, how full is the oil tank now?

full. I always keep it topped up. Oil filler is under pillion seat but puddle is appearing just behind bike stand. Should ANY oil be coming out of breather pipes?

well if your keeping it toooo topped up it may be comming out of an overflow, because of course there needs to be some sort of vacum effect working? I assume that the oil is induced into the flow via vacum off the stroke? on smaller bikes, I assume thats how it works on the scooter we have I overfilled that thing once and it dropped oil for a couple'a days but I aint much of a two smoke doctor sorry.

Possibly. Depends on design. If you fill the tank brim full when it's cold, then leave the bike in the hot sun for a few hours, the oil will heat up and expand. Got to go somewhere. Depending on design, same thing may be caused by engine heat. That's what breathers are for. Seems an awful lot to come out of a breather , though, usually it would just be a few drops. I'd still suspect a leak.

Normally, there's a proper oil pump. Can't recall a bike wherer there was a vacuum oil feed.

ah ok, didnt think that they would bother on the smaller cc's - well in that case do the hose test, thats always fun - clean the bike dude, degresser and shit - go for a boost come back and look for the black area with shit all over it, thats where the problem is
