Being a complete nana and never wanting to run the thing close to going onto reserve, what's the general range of a 97 ZX-6R b4 going to reserve with 'normal' riding? I tend to fill up around the 100mile (km?) mark.

Mine usually gets 190-200km before hitting reserve.

yeah, I stick in about 16-18 bucks every 200ks. If you really nana it around town, I've seen 230 before the fuel light comes on. Out on the track (coro or Puke, your call), you can see as low as 150ks

I'm only getting about 200km before the reserve lights start flashing but I'm finding I'm only filling 12.5 litres of a 17 litre tank. That's mostly commuting speeds, have yet to take it for a real thrash, errrrh I mean long smooth ride.

The 96 ZX6R I had was able to get to 250km no problems .....

Ask Nhuanh, fuel consumption and how much you can get out of a tank on a Ninja is his specialty. He has tested the fuel light many a time. If you ever come across 2 ninjas parked on the side of the road. It means we both ran out of gas:slap:

It was 254kms - only 4kms short of the servo.

I'm not the one with the excessively saggy rear end though.

Or is that over-inflated rear end?

Run a log book for a few tank fulls, Kms run for ltrs used. you should be able to estmate the total distance to the tank and add a safety margin.
I can do an easy 50k once on reserve & get over 320k from a 20ltr tank.
