Help me name my bike, and colour

hey peoples,

as you know i got me a CBR 250 for SS,

anyways,

now that i have almost finished repairing my fairings, i need to choose a colour to paint it, but i cannot decide....... can yous help me :)\

and then, i want to name my bike..... but again something i cant think of...... sooooo the person that gives me the name i like most get 2 bling points :yes:

You gotta be able to prove to them that you can give the results looking nice as well I reckon that you should paint the bike to match the colour of your gear then you look more Proffesional. I dont worry about names for bikes but come to think to think about to I am gonna name the RS "The Beast"
and the XL "Mini Beast"
And the RG "Smokey"

Maybe have the top half of the bike in one colour and the lower half in a contrasting colour (i.e. black and white). This way you can have 2 major sponsers logos standing out from one another

I might see about getting Whitehouse Motorcycles in Upper Hutt to sponser me so they can help me with maintinence costs

yea thats what i was thinking and going with the name mentioned earlier the ace of spades. :) I am putting together a portfolio at the mo to go out and approach sponsers. It will be hard for me to find one as im only 16... and people dont take 16 year olds seriously... well not very often anyway

Well I got Langlands just by dealing through them and told them about the racing and now I get free parts and discounts, Darbi was I knew Andrew well through buckets and brought a bike through him and a set of boots etc and yeah ya know, NZMCNEWS was a family friend Daryl New and he gives me photos on a cd for myself etc, Featherston ENgineering that is my uncle and he fixes parts when they need fixing gave us a real good price for our race trailor etc its all about getting out there

wait and see, na i wouldn't. I found a FXR 150 frame. and sized everything up tonight. she will all fit together nicely. though it going on a diet. RG100 next time you have your rear wheel out, could you take a photo of the brake cal mount, as i need to build one. other than a tank, seat, engine mounts and bars it all look like it will work.:doh: its going to be a long christmas.

just make sure you run the rear on max preload.... it has a soft spring and tends to wallow aound.... well it did on me :)

bugger I'm 20 odd kg's bigger, hummm o'well I'm sure I can sort it out. at lease it would bend in half like the RG. does anyone know where to get slicks from ? do the RS ones fix 80/90 - 17s & 100/90 - 17s ???

yea the RS ones do fit, but they are a little too big. For racing ideally you should have a 110/90/17 on the rear and a 90/90/17 on the front.... thats what i have at the moment and i have no chicken strip at all... and they are shitty tyres so with better ones i would lean more .. thus need more tyre, so im getting me an RS 125 set to go on.:) IMO

your engine is about 100KG lighter than the stock FXR150 engine so you will have about the same weight as me ;)

Ivan never feel sorry for anyone that arrives late with a hangover, has bike problems and crashes twice.

yep - the whole reason for building a new bike is to race it.. as Manfield is only 15mins away there isnt really many excuses. last time i raced the back part of manfield the poor RG frame really bent so a new frame really was a must.

RG100 - fairings - well I'm currently working on a mould for the top and a new seat. I'll let you know how things are progressing after christmas. I've got quite a few things on the go so it taking a wee bit time. at lease I've got te electrics back so all of the problems with the motor are solved :woohoo: famous last words

Ok I last time I played cricket was with Jay Lawrence and that for fun on raod and he lost my dogs favourite cricket ball. Golf is fun last time I played that I couldnt hit it far so got shitty picked ball up and threw it lol, You look young any way

Here it is - needs work but most of the bits are there.
Can't get it start (no power) at the moment but will sort that after boxing day.

yep planing on the ss 250/150 class, but i will have to really read the rules before i start repairing anything. - at first glance it would cost way to much to bother puting fairings back on it if they have to be original ! - you can make a full set for around 200 dollars - or there if aways trademe i spose, nevermind see how things pan out.
