WTB: Cheap beginner bike

As above - looking for my first bike. As I'm a cheap arse it's gotta be nice and cheap (under $800 preferrably). I'll consider anything 150 to 250cc that's easy to ride, fairly easy to maintain, 4 stroke, rode rideable, and a proper clutch bike - no autos or semi autos please :)

Christchurch area preferred - haven't got the money to get it sent from where you are!

Yeah, I know it's a long shot, but hey, might as well let people know I'm looking just in case they feel pity for my plight and feel like donating me their trusty old steed... :rofl:

I'm keeping my eye on the local rag too, I'm sure I'll find something suitable before terribly long :)

Keep an eye out for a CB250RS, or similar... The CB250 SuperDream might also be within budget.

Also perhaps GN250s...
