View Full Version : Be careful in Wellington today - fog everywhere

Just a heads up for anyone heading into town this morning.

I'm sure all the riders in Wellington already know but if you're travelling into the city be bl@#dy careful. Theres thick fog up in the J'ville/Newlands area and it's a bit of fun following the cars down the Gorge. Just hope that everyone's got their lights on.

Also be very careful in the left hand lane on the motorway heading north towards Nauranga. There is quite a bit of diesel on the road!

Poor buggers, it's beautiful up here in Levin! Blue skies and a forecasted high of 28C - no wind either! Lovely day for a ride, but the thought of putting all that hot gear on doesn't inspire me today!

The roads were damn slippery this morning. The guy on the yellow VTR-250 who wanted to race to me to town didn't seem to care though......:weird: ..
Ah well, takes all kinds to learn what safe riding is about.

Looks fine now, getting close to riding home again.
Wonder how hard the VTR dude is going to ride home now.......

I almost went to the beach today, sadly I'm broke so no gas to get there. Roll on friday.

Hmmm.. you're right, I was following a black suzuki something this morning...

who's lane splitting techniques were... let's say, questionable for the conditions...

Two of us from work had to fly to Wellington on Tuesday. I knew when we left Queenstown that Wellington was fogged in, and just hoped that it would be clear when we arrived. It was, fortunately, but that still didn't stop Air NZ from arriving 2 hours late. By the time we got off the plane, jumped in a taxi, and headed into the city, it was almost 9:00 pm by the time we reached our hotel.

Perfect weather for the flight back home today. :yes:
