sun (18th) 2pm
the whitehall loop-170kms,some tight and twisty, some more open spots.
i hope the roads are in good nick, we have 2 GSX 250's going and my good o'l DT175s, so keeping up shouldnt be a prob.
any questions pm me or post a reply!
so far all of us are in the 16-21 years age bracket, but all ages welcome
i will have copies of the road names for the way to go if anyone is keen on that idea.
My dT's fuel level should be down into the MLs by the time its done!
cheers

If I can somehow work a miracle, I wont be here. But if I can't work the miracle, I'll be too broke. I hate my job.

we all decided to ban the early viargro's from ever riding with us...
NAh....just kidding...that would be Usless club style
if your heading to battele of the streets on boxing day we can organise something? yea?

Probably not gonna be up to much next few weeks since work has shut down. And seeing as how they were discontinued in 99 and mine is only a 93, that would make it a later model.:bleh:
BTW, PMed this to a few other Hamilton riders I know, ones that may miss it during the short time they are logged on. So may get a few CBR250s and possibly some FXR150s to show up lol.

it looks as though we will be leaving from the service station along cobham drive, i cant remember what it is.
if your heading out of hamilton along cobham drive, you go through a roundabout indicating a turn off to the uni, straight after that is the gas station on your left (i think its a bp or caltex)
some one reply if they know what it is!
cheers

It's on Cambridge road. Give me a sec I'll walk out my front door and see what station it is. Think it's a BP. You peaple will be a whole 500 feet from my house. lol

EDIT: Survey says.... It's a Caltex.

as long as its not race pace i could be keen to come

Well last week I hit 132 kmph ....which on a machine with twice the hp you can probably do it in 4th :P

But I'll be careful too because I haven't riden this road before, almost over ran a 40kmph corner on the raglan run the first time i did it.

Most important thing is to look through the corner. Your head can only work out how fast you can take it if you can see where you are gonna end up and thus the angle involved. target fixation is also a danger if you're new. I almost got into trouble a couple of times because of it. Make sure you are always looking where you want to end up otherwise you don't balance the bike properly.

Meant to ask you earlier mate, ya think Peaches will be on this ride?

carver
15th December 2005, 15:44
yea, peaches will be in!
if only you could come, there would definatly be no race pace:eyepoke:
hahahahh...just kidding amigo.
its some VERY tight twisty roads, but dont worry, its ok, nothing ya cant handle!
you will like it
oh yea, i have taken a fxr up to 157kph before, standard!

One day man. One day, I'm gonna show you just how slow I really am.

And if it wasn't for me being whipped I would be there. But since I enjoy it too much to miss out.... Mmmm hard baked leather cracking on my soft sensitive skin...

Ooh ooh, French Pass? How about Maungatautari??? If I weren't otherwise engaged I'd be there like a big black dog!

carver
16th December 2005, 15:04
its not you waylander...its the viagro...i just never understood what cruisers are for in new zealand.:weird:
mangatautari is good, i used to work out there, my whitehall loop is good because we can turn off and head to cambridge if needs be.
its also got a lot of variety
look out for a dude with a GSX 250 with poilshed forks, blue lights, and the word "peaches" on the tank...everyone MUST overtake him once!
just kidding, sure would be funny tho.:blip:

hmmmm...have done man, i dont think i mentioned to you i once owned a suzuki savage...i never really understood what its good for
not very comfortable, not very fast, not as comfortable as a "proper touring bike" not powerful for the size of the engine, dont handle well, dont brake well, need lots of cleaning to look good, cant carry much on them, not much weather protection, quite heavy....the list goes on...i just dont get it.

Waylander

Not comfortable? Mine is. Can't go fast? Is that all that matters? Not as powerfull for engine size? Get something more than 700cc and not a single. Don't handle or brake well? Maybe compared to high end sportbikes. Can't carry alot of stuff? Mate I can carry more than damn near any sportbike and almost as much as a car. Too heavy? Go to the gym ya skinny bastard.:shifty:

As for not looking good if they are dirty? Have you seen my bike? Dirty as the mississippi river bottom and still sexy as ever!! hehehe

Lol make sure someone gets a pic of Him, his bike, and the peach I wanna see his face.

carver
16th December 2005, 15:32
fuck yea, get a pic, post it on here!
i will take some shots,i took over 60 last time!
as for cruisers mate its horses for courses, you and i probably dislike the same thing
"older" ppl that buy em as posing toy,and cant ride for shit, or work on em..no passion for motorcycles!

hmmm, was that with a fixed speedo? A car got in my way at 142 on the way back from palmy.

I don't much fairing left either, so it probably has a little more drag then standard. :wait:

EDIT: I don't think this is gonna happen... http://home.nzcity.co.nz/weather/default.asp?wla=10
