I have done a search and not found anything of use, can anyone tell me if it is possible to get insurance coverage for track days and through which company?

My understanding is that in most cases you are covered under your normal insurance policy for TRACK DAYS because the track on that day is a public road.
On the last track day i got totally paranoid and wasnt allowing anyone to time their laps -well thats OTT -- The EVENT is not a race, rally or a time trial

I can just imagine filling in the claim form...

It was definately the other guys fault but I couldn't get his rego as there was no number plate on the bike.

nah Garry, the quote I want to put on my claim (if I ever have to, but I won't, so I'll never get to do it), under 'estimated speed', I want to write 250kph+ :devil2:

Breif description of the accident...

I was accelerating to about 180kph on the front straight when some idiot pulls out of pit lane without indicating

It's all very well having coverage for a track day, but claiming is another story. Depends on what happended. I occassionly take may car to Puke for "driver training" :blip: and my insurance broker says as long as I'm not being timed I'm okay. I've only had one mishap and the only damage was fixed by the drycleaner...

Yeah, I spoke to my broker and he said no, I was not covered for Track Days. Cibby Chick can cover 'Driver Training Days' so 'see ya later' to my guy...
