View Full Version : Major hold ups on SH2 Wellington to Petone

Anyone who is travelling out to the Hutt Valley from Wellington this morning take care. There's an overturned truck on the Petone overbridge and all traffic is being diverted underneath.

It's not too bad on the bike. I was able to filter from the gorge through to the turn off at KoroKoro, and the traffic was pretty understanding.

If you're taking the cage be prepared for major hold ups. Other than that it's damned humid so keep cool on the bike (visors cracked up, vents open etc).

Have a great day chaps.

I had to go down the left on the shoulder as there wasnt always room in the middle.

Rang my flatmate in the traffic and suggested she rode down the middle between the lanes but then said "oh...oh...sorry, I forgot you dont have a motorcycle!". Shes always giving me shit about getting wet on my bike etc.

Wow, must be a tight squeeze to fit underneath the truck.

Traffic still not going anywhere. No match for the Gixxer though.

Plenty of cages overheating like crazy.

To the cyclist... sorry about giving you a bit of a fright! :buggerd:

Cheers.

Traffic moving pretty freely now (has been for a while actually). Non-geologically related :).
