if you don't want to be round drunk dickhead teens, stay away from the viaduct,. Stars on Victoria st is good, they have Mint there once a month and are having a MINT new year eve party. to keep up to date with the best of whats on go to www.biggie.co.nz also get a ticket for Summer Days on 6th of Jan, starts at 4pm to 4 am at the ellerslie race course.

There's this club I go to 5 days a week... no music, no booze, no fun, but as much coffee as you can drink, AND they pay me $40k a year to go there!

if you go to the water front, you are either 16 or a paedophile who likes shit music and overpriced crap beer.

What's your point?

I like going to Coast when they have Our House on. Bar3 at Sky City's usually got a fair bit of talent, but it always smells like farts in there.
K-road's not as bad as its reputation outside of Auckland would have you believe

Lube Bar in Ellerslie
No young kids, plenty of debauchery in the early hours of the morning!

There is a bar round the back of K road which was a parlor which has been converted into a really cool place to hang called the Viper Room (well it was 12 months ago) It's pretty dark, but they have all the "rooms" wired for sound with couches and stuff, $20.00 cover charge.

Hysteria Bar 262 K Rd. It's Aucklands only dedicated Rock and Metal bar. Bands every Friday and Saturday night. Comfy leather couches, good people, just a cool place to hand out and hear some great home grown heavy metal...IF that's your cup of bourbon that is...
