Is now a year since I had corrective chop'n on my lower spine and spinalcord and as you'll find out it's well worth the discomfort.
Don't for get to be cheeky to those nurses ya hear oh and shower time is fun too...:buggerd:

Yeah, all the best! Gonna be a while b4 you can get back on the bike - hope the withdrawal symptoms are minor! Had lotsa back trouble over the years includin' 3 years off work, so know well the hassles and pain. Hope the op gives you a new lease on life! Nurses are the best!:ride:

hes all sweet"


So now he will be very groggy and still falling asleep off and on.
Tomorrow he should be feeling a little bit better.

So its all good, he came throu the op ok... and now hope the op was successful on his back.

UPDATE: at 7.40pm this evening, I received a txt from the man himself.

"All is good, leave Friday morning"

So it looks like Sixpackback is gonna be let out of hospital on Friday morning and allowed to go home to recover there.

Lets hope all keeps going well for him.

I know how painful a bad back can be - too much lifting of Mk2 Zephyr cylinder heads, deer carcases etc have left mine somewhat 'tender' - glucosamine has helped wonder, give it a go if the docs say it's o.k.

Got in to this thread a bit late to wish you well before the op. so wish you well after it. Had back trouble as a youngster spent nearly three years in hospital. Went in as a four year old had my seventh birthday a few weeks after I came out.

Mind you I had it easy.................no more shagging for you ol' son well not for some time.:rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Woohoo just got home, sporting a two inch scar on my neck but feel pretty bloody good. Doctor said 6 weeks till I'm back on the bike and normal again.
The last ten months have been punctuated by extended periods of sometimes unimaginable pain with many totally normal days in between, pain killing drugs and deteriorating mental health have taken a toll.
Your concern and messages are gratefully received, if you have been on the receiving end of my foul temper over the last couple of months in particular I apologise.
A special 'sorry' to Joni, I think you coped the worst of it.
Have a rest over xmas and will see you lot on a ride in the not to distant future

depending on the status of the rabbit (wanted for a pet vs wanted for a stew) I have an air rifle here that'll save you running around... scope and 1000 fps+... takes the head off a Mynah at 25m too (so I'm told :whistle:)
