Yeah I'd have to say go with a RS125 too. The TZ125's that are around are pretty good and are alot better than the honda's from the same year but the problem is that they are pretty rare which means that spare parts can be hard to find for them and also not many people have good knowledge of how to get the best out of them and/or fix them. Whereas there are boat loads of RS125's around the place and everyone knows pretty much how to get the best out of them.
Basically there are 2 vintages of RS125's, thats pre 95 and post 95. You're going to be paying $2000 give or take for a pre 95 and then a bit more if it has a good set of spares with it (eg motoracers). The pre 95's are so different from the post 95 ones its more of a fact of listing what is the same rather than what isn't. The brakes, chassis, suspension and some of the motor (reed block, barrel, carb etc) are all different. They changed to an upside down front end and completly redesigned the rear shock/swingarm. They are also alot faster than the pre 95's. Also the pre 95's are now getting old, with that come stress and fatigue on parts. I've had a few reliability problems with mine and also a mate who has a 92 has had multiple problems. But that doesn't mean you should stay away from them, just need a bit more maintenance.
Me, I'm wanting to get a 2002 or later model within the next 6 months. Just for that extra speed and reliability. Also can get more trick bits for them cause the bits between the bikes of the 2 eras aren't always interchangable.
Hope that helps, if you have any q's just ask.
