Seems cheap. Someone buy it.

I might know the bike. When mine had it's first service, the bike shop had this repsol with about 1000 k's on it - ex demo. A guy who lived out that way had an R1 and was buying it for his wife. Okay, imagine how that made me feel :shit: I WAS RIDING A GIRLS BIKE. Good on him though.
May not be the same bike but it does seem a coincidence.

Enough of the jokes WINJA. You REALLY do want a honda but you're old school and you'd rather be spending all that time in the garage fixing your crappers than spending quality time with your boyfriend.
I understand.

that last bit wasnt a joke , i was just reading a writeup , zx10 , gsxr etc and i just paraphrased for you , for your info ive had 2 blades , the first was ok the second was absolute shit i bought it new and it went back 6 times for major warranty issues to the point where honda said no more warrantys .
the real dissapointing thing about my first blade is that when i lined up my old zx10 and gpz1000rx(86) they killed the blade in a straight line.
as for suzuki they cocked up with my new gixxer 1000 k3 nd they gave me a brand new one to remedy the situation . try getting that from honda finn , im serious wait till you have a major warranty and see their fucken attitude

Thats not unheard of. Watching Top Gear one episode they lined up a couple of eighties supercars again the current 00's supercars. The Jag XJ220 (80's) absolutely blitzed the Zonda in a straightline.

was the xj220 in the 80's? i thought it was delayed and came out in the first few years of the 90's? meh my brain don't work any more. there is a newer version of the zonda with more carbon fibre and shiney go fast bits that might be able to eat the xj220. or get one of those fucken tanks, bugatti veyron:kick:

the zx10 was faster than the 1000rx and the zzr1100 was faster than both , thats progresion . in hondas case the they still hadnt caught up to kawasaki and yamaha in the engine dept from 10 years earlier , i still got the blade back then cause it handled good even thou i thought the motor sucked

They handle well alright. My motor sucks plenty - you wanna hear the induction when you nail it at low to mid range revs.
And, if you want to know about girls bikes, just ask Flame :2thumbsup

i think that motor is a bit lame for an 04 model i raced a few of them now and my gix stomped it , im well over 100kg and i raced quite a skinny 60 kg guy and i could let him pull away then catch him .
but these blades are still selling well , and they fill a gap , a lot of riders would be faster on the blade than the gix , i think that blades advantage on the road is that unflapable sure footedness that the zx10 and to lesser extent the gix lack . but for some like me a slappy bike makes life interesting

I see the New Blade has lost some weight now 178 kg's approx !!! , about 10kg's heavyer than anyother . Must have found 40HP in the motor to try & get it to keep up with the Real Bikes . Wayne Gardner said it was the softest 1000 on the market & he own's one :gob: !!! :scooter: LOL

Guys, you must be referring to the standard 1000rr. The stickers on the Repsol make it MUCH faster.
I'm by no means an expert in bikes but it appears that there has been very little change between the 04, 05 and the new 06. While the 1000rr (and all litre jap bikes) get good reviews, the 1000rr just doesn't get the same "holy shit" as the K6 & R1. But I don't think this was Honda's MO. Don't know why not and perhaps this will change in 07 when I would think the bike will change completely.
However, that's why I got the Honda because it's friendly if you want it to be. Having just got back into riding after 10 years absense, I'm going easy. Although I will say that pulling over 12000 rpm's in second is hardly relaxing.

And the word for today is PERSPECTIVE.
I'm quite confident that a few large sportsbikes will get carved up going down the Taka's tonight by a GN250. Should we all rush out and get one ? It is obviously a quicker bike. Haha

They were meaning 0-100 times from what I saw (in one episode). The Ferrari F40 is 3.4sec 0-100 and beats pretty much every large supercage out today. And I think the xj220 did beat most of them as well.
Funny how technology goes backwards sometimes, just like WINJA showed.

The episode I was the XJ beat everything in about a 1/4 mile I think. Was a reasonable distance.
I think technology changes focus. Track focused bikes will lose top-speed for handling because that, presumably, wins races.

the new blackbird makes 12 hp less than the previous one , how ghey is that .
as for taking off fast , you could extend the swingarm on a gix or zx10 and its 1/4 will drop quite a bit, the hardest thing in drag racing is keeping the front down , but the longer swingarm will then effect handling

The Jag XJ220 (80's) absolutely blitzed the Zonda in a straightline.Performance Bikes (A british magazine I have been buying for about 8 years) seem to be pushing this quite hard at the moment. They are trying to distance themselves from the "OOH AHH NEW FASTER WOW" look. So this month they compare the gone CBR600FS-2 with the current CBR600RR. Basically nothing in it, and the older bike did 40-120mph in 6th gear faster. Same with the very early 636 ZX6-R (Like Madboy's) compared to the current ZX6-R. The only bike that has gone properly forward was the R6. But then apperently it is now less fun. They did the same thing with the litre-ish bikes previously. It makes interesting, but less suprising as time goes on, reading.
And a kinda ratty 2000 ZX7-R is faster than a 2001 ZX9-R and a 2002 ZX6-R around their test (Not race!) track.
