Boxing day ride to Wangavegas (cemetary circuit)

Dont know if anyone has organised anything for people in Wellington riding up to the cemetary circuit, so heres a rough outline for a group ride up there monday morning (26th December) to watch the races:

. Meet up at outside Wellington motorcycles at 8am

. Travel up SH-1, stopping at BP mana at 8.20ish to pick up people on the way

. Go over the paikak hill :niceone: , then cruise on up in time for the races (via SH-1 again and up through himatangi)

This is pretty much the same thing that was planned for the Wellington KBers last year, and it worked out pretty well. Does anyone have any other places to suggest that the group stops/different meeting times?

Fast or your last mate! I think the actual racing starts at 10 something from memory, but my brains not what it used to be. The warmup laps are cool to watch anyway so if were early it wont matter

Jimmy Barnes follows the racing at Cooks Gardens (pretty much same location as Cemetery Circuit. Support acts are Pearl, The Lick and Random which start at 630pm....Bring it on! :spudguita

Manners :wavey: myself, Kick, Joni & Rashika will be in Welly xmas day (get in bout 1pm)... heading up to uncle Paul's for chrissie cake then might check out the southward museum and on to Wanganui, not sure about the return trip yet, kinda depends on Guzzi electrics :blink:

Good day up at Wangas.

My bike's sparky lead f*cked out this morning so I had to DRIVE up in my folks car. Despite a reduced passing opportunity vehicle it as still a nice drive. Not as much fun though.

Big thanks to Deanno, Drew, Nic and NC 30 (and others) for having a crack at fixing my bike.

Had a good time hanging with JK, Vas, and Velox...thanks guys.

Damn good day at the races guys. Nick/deano/nc30 where the hell did you guys get to? Apologies to people on the way up who got misplaced from the group. Next time reckon we will have someone at the front and back, and arrange some stops along the way at servos so everyone can catch up.
Full cred to jimmy as well-thought you had been pulled up mate, but turns out he had picked up the dude whose vt 250 had shat itself outside of bulls!
Great to see the new faces (masterofpuppets etc), and hopefully see you all there next year or earlier :cool:
