The huge hole in it near Naike is still there. But I rode up it from just south of Naike last sunday and it seemed ok to me.

I'm more inclined to go to wellsford since I went south last weekend. (plus me going to wellsford means I can just go along scenic drive to kumeu and then back track a bit to meet at the shell at westgate. And there is less scope for getting lost/having to get the map out ;)).

ok, I'll be at the shell at westgate at 10:30am, leave around 10:40.

I'm in Titirangi, so I'll be heading there along scenic drive/te henga road/ etc for a bit of a detour. If anyone wants to meet in Titirangi, I'll aim to be there and leave the carpark outside the Hells Pizza etc at 9:40. I haven't actually timed how long it takes to get from Titirangi to Westgate along scenic drive etc, but I think that should give me plenty of time.

Ok. The weather report for today says "morning showers clearing" but they aren't clearing yet. And I'm not keen to ride in the rain.
So the ride is cancelled. :(
Maybe I'll go later in the afternoon if it clears up. Will post back in here if I do.

The weather looks clear enough to me now. I'm going to have a bit of lunch and stuff and aim to leave titirangi at about 12:35. will leave the westgate shell at 1:30, I guess and head up to wellsford. might go along west coast road to warkworth as well...
