What can I say. Bugger.
However I have not heard of any accidents from the race day yesterday. A lot of bikes on the road as we went in to Wanganui. I, for one, can say the riders we came across on the 500km plus trip were excellent. Well done people. But sorry to hear about this death. RIP.

I'm surprised there wasn't any more deaths. Riding in the cage to Wanganui I had dozens of bikes tearing passed us. Never seen people ride so wrecklessly untill now

Be careful out their, its not called the silly season for nothing.
Lots of kids on the roads in mum’s car to add to the mayhem.
Condolences to the family and friends, may heaven be an endless windy road.

This is sad news. we have been traveling in the cage, bad cagers about , havent seen many bikes. Those we have seen have been very careful.
I was a bit naughty a couple of times, bloody slow drivers not pulling over when they have a big line of traffic behind them.
HP's just ignore them.
If a bike went past on one wheel, safe as a church, there would be a scurry of HP's to sort him/her out.:brick:
R.I.P. to the lost Biker. John

Yep, that's just sad. It's a great piece of road that, i've done it many times BUT it's also the main arterial north and people get real impatient and there's no room for error.

Not much to do if some dickhead cage drive comes flying over the hill on the wrong side of the road.

RIP biker chic.
