Hello guys and gals.
I have no users manual for my bike and I've been wondering what's the recommended tire pressure. The other day I noticed my bike is slow and wobbly, I cheked tire pressure and in fact, both front and rear were only 22psi. I'm not sure what it should be, but I pumped them up to 32psi both and the ride is much firmer and acceleration better. Never the less, I'd like to know whats the typical correct tire pressure for my bike. I run 170 wide tyre on the rear...

What brand and model tyres are you running?

You may find this useful:

You'll note that your rear is 30mm oversize, which will affect all sorts of things from steering to chassis geometry. That's probably a 4 or 4.5 inch rim too so that tyre will be pulled into a very unnatural shape.

I'd ditch them and get Pirelli Sport Demons in the correct size ASAP. The correct sizes are 110/70 front, 140/70 rear. Wider isn't better.

You should run those around 30-31 PSI front and 34-36 PSI rear.

Thanks for input.

MY bike is the GJ77A chasis model, i.e. it is the 2000 model. would that make a difference ?

Hmmm. My "research" indicates that the GJ77A was manufactured between 1996 and '98 and the rear should be a 150/60x17.
