ok so im going down through a light corner cars on either side of the road parked still plenty of road and along head on at me comes my old nemises **STAGECOACH bus**

and i go not a fu**ing gain you dont came to a stop inbetween to parked cars .

luckily there was a gap. and the bus goes past pleanty of room on his side,

but no for him hes going through a right hand curve down the road so he had to be fully to my side it was christmas day so i thought ill let it go,

but then i couldnt believe it so i went stuff this ..

.pulled a u turn and followed him about 10 km all the way to newmarket staying in his mirrow view the whole way(made sure he knew i was there) (hey i felt like a ride) waited till he stopped there went up to the window he gives me a thumbs up.

i remembered all his bus details time etc. gave him a one finger salute...turned around and went home.

why does stagecoach always try to kill me?

soon im gunna wait on corners with a camera and take pics of all the buses that cut corners.

i can see where my bike got hit last time from my house and every bus through there cuts the corner with the exception of about 2% of them.

ive had it!

Pity to hear mate. I hate the buggers too, they seem to think they own the road and just one day I will DRIVE into one so that I can prosecute the driver and make him

That know must have scrambled part of your brain. Its very hard to read the post.

I think buses are out to get everyone.

Life of a bus driver:
Hmm, lets see. I have an unsatisfying job and get paid pretty pants wages to listen to teenage girls rabbitting on about their boyfriend's ex's cousin's girlfriend and have chewing-gum left on the bottom of every seat. What can I do to spice up my life? I know, I'll run red lights and cut corners. That way I keep on my toes and can enjoy the terrified expressions of other motorists as they realise that EVEN IF IT'S MY FAULT, I'll always come out better off.

OK, it's not all bus drivers. But there are some bad ones. Really bad.

Another of our local stagecoach idiots cut me off as well down broadway in peak traffic. I did the usual thing, hit brakes, airhorns and curse the SoB for cutting across two lanes and stopping right in front of me

- difference is . . . I was driving my 22 ton concrete truck :Oi:
Are these :angry2: just born dumb or what?

I like the camera idea there MA. Just keep practicing the sideways leap in case they try to use the spot you are standing. Are you wearing a "Stagecoach Sucks" jacket or are they just trying to kill everyone in Auckland?

I had a bit of trouble with a truck driver awhile back who did the same sort of thing to me in town. I rode up beside the cab and asked him not so politely, what the F do you think your doing??? I got a glare from him and he said, if I come accross you again, I'll make sure I F'ing knock you over!
Rather than get shitty, I parked my bike on the footpath, took my helmet off and proceeded to ring the 0800 number that was on the side of the truck with my cellphone. I asked to talk to who ever was in charge and ended up talking to the trucking firm owner. Basically mentioned what had happened, plus th fact that the truck was on the left side of the one way and cut straight accross at an intersection and in the process almost bowled me. When I mentioned the response I got from the driver, the bloke asked if I could please hand him the phone. Anyhow after a wee conversation from his boss, the truck driver's attitude some what changed, he apologised and handed me back the phone. Maybe going to the top in your situation might help also?:ar15:

I know that this might seem like a waste of time, but it might be worth noting the details of the bus (and driver, if you can see their ID?) and writing to the LTNZ. They might be pretty stretched and all, but if they get more than one complaint about a driver, they will definately be 'flagged' and possibly interviewed so as to warn them to straighten up. If they don't comply, there's a good chance they won't have an easy time getting their license renewed next year... and that means unpaid time off work: a lot of time.
(NB: not sure whether co-operative witnesses, if you can get them, could lead to any sort of police involvement? If so, that could add the necessary weight to haul them in and possibly suspend them while they are investigated... I mean, if they have really f**ked up... any cops on here have ideas on that..?)

Around our way we have the Birkenhead Bus Co and Ritchies.
In general, the Birkenhead drivers have lead feet and are colour blind. (or just plain blind)
I'm sure the Ritchies drivers don't have licences, there's no other reason for needing the whole road when one lane will do.
This happens time and again.

2nd that. It's really hard to spot one of these on the road because the rider is so low that even cyclists are easier to spot. Having no lights and no rego plates makes me wonder why they're even on the road in the first place.

Get your lights on and a loud exhaust, remove any possibility that they can't see you.

That post is really hard to read, I'm still not one hundred percent sure what actually happened.

Obviously it sucked either way.

The latter. Dorkland bus drivers all too often are the pits. In fairness it's a shitty job for crap wages for a ratshit employer. Which doesn't lead to much motivation for the drivers, or a large pool of talent to pick from.

Complaining is quite useless. Their stock response is that they will only take notice of any complaint if it is from the police. Who of course do not want to know because the bus was not speeding.

maybe the bus companys should make the drivers pay the excess when their at fault , it might make them drive better

yeah but there had been a car he wouldnt have been able to go out in time to avoid a head on blind corner and he driving down the middle of the road slightly to my side. i see it all the time and i'm sick of them owning the road im just worried they are going to seriously injure or kill a biker someday.

and the corner i had my accident on recently a taxi cut the corner even more do they think it's a private race circuit ill just use both lanes?.

in a way i just see it as lazyness that they don't lookout and use thier own side of the road and not cut corners i mean theres plenty of room i notice cars do it as well occasionally but the buses seem to do it severly very often.

i just don't want to get spread down the road or see somebody else killed because of this irrisponsible driving.
Cheers:MA

it has full lights indicators and is road registered it doesnt matter if they can't see me they shouldnt be on the wrong side of the road anyway what if a kid is halfway across a road for example and they cut the corner straight into them ... road lines are there and should be respected imo sorry to rant but these drivers are pissing me off.

something like this...me green, bus yellow and parked cars blue. crappy drawing i know there is no centreline on this road. but that gives you some idea of what i mean because my origional post ddn't make much sense lol.

i mean he had plenty of room but decided to be more on my side as he turned to the right when he had heaps of space on his left. and nearly ran me over but i went between 2 parked cars luckily.

Don't know about Stagecoach but Redbus here in Christchurch are now employing drivers from Winz. The LTNZ have waved the heavy traffic requirement that was needed before you could get your passanger licence. The result is now you have bus drivers with little experiance and think that they can drive a bus as a car. There is now a general trend in employing immigrants as bus drivers who have little reguard for simple common road courtesy.

I recently heard of a case where an Indian driver took the wrong route and when the passangers told him he was going the wrong way promptly stopped the bus and started to abuse them. This individual was promptly called in for some further training.
