It's all in your head Death, I know this because I read it in these forums. Just because you wear insufficient gear, does not mean you will damage yourself, thats all in your head dude. Its true, well it must be, coz I read it in here.

Hope you heal well (assuming it was you), good to see someone with the sensibility to admit that the gear was not up to the task. I might even rep you for being honest, and realistic.

If it’s close enough not to put my gear on I'll walk there!
Visited a mate in hospital after he had skin grafts, fuck that for a joke!
And he WAS in leather!
Seen pictures of a foot after a minor crash where the jandle had locked onto the road and had ripped the big toe off, complete with a big hunk of foot.
Dunno how he changes gear now but I'll stick to my boots regardless of the heat.

Get well soon

A momentary lapse of reason eh Death? Hope you heal up quick and are back on the road soon. Used to do 'test runs' on my bike up a side street by work without leathers etc, sometimes without my lid. Slow speeds and all, but after reading about a guy in the states who is a vege now after falling off his bike at about 15mph (freak accident I know) and cracked his lidless head on the road, I suit up always.

Yeh,twas me....just doing normal shit (for me anyhoo) hit the deck at about 130kmph,geez adrenelain's great, got up got the bike off the road, walked up and down picking up bits, pushed the bike the remaining 100 meters or so to work, rang draco to come fix the bleeding, then ran outta go.....spent the rest of the day in middlemore....
Not too much damage to me or the gixx,a couple of broken cases and scruffed up fairing, broken footpeg etc,but nothing too major.I got a bit of missing skin and maybe a broken rib and hand(they couldn't tell with the crap x-ray gear).A bit stiff and sore today, but nothing too bad, got off pretty lucky really.....Draco's got some piccys on her phone so I'll post 'em up later.
Now that I did it I'm gonna say don't do it,but I know a lot still will.....

Still don't really know what went wrong, pulled a wheelie outta the gasser like normal 'till I caught up to a car dropped the front down and hit the brake and she just went down,no real reason, though the bus depot is just down the road and I've complained to the council numerous times about 'em dropping diesel all over the road so maybe that had something to do with it.....
The real lesson is I woulda been pretty sweet if I was wearing my gear.....
Still trying to download the piccys from the phone, but it's not really happening.....
