think the heading for the comparo said it all "the maddest comparo"

this picture from it sums it up nicely

Unfair trail. The Multi is on dirt.

It may not be a gsxr, but it does have "made in Italy" stamped on it, surely that counts for somthing?

This pretty much sum's it up ?

"The engine is thrumming, the throttle is pegged, and I’m in the best areo-tuck 6’2” 200lbs of editorial content can manage. The windscreen begins to vibe a bit. I bump the rev limiter in the neighborhood of eleven—five. Upshift, the throttle is light and oil-smooth, I barely blip and keep it pegged. In the distance that fading speck on the uphill horizon is snapper Kevin, on the GSX-R 1000… and I’d be lying if I said I cared. I’m astride the Ducati Multistrada 620 Dark, I’ve just kissed 175kph, and I’m smiling like a madman. Why? This feels like riding… and the corners are coming up - the tight ones… and the tables turn."

Which reminds me why i would rather walk in the rain with a TLS seat hump on my head than ride one of those cookie cutter sewing machines ... I4 jam jar

Wank journalism. What next? Compare a CRF250 with a CBR 600 for track day use.

Great write up for both bikes. We all know how good the Gixer is, but the Multistrada certainly looks a lot of fun. Imagine what the 1000 would be like!

I've not tried a Gixxer but I can vouch for the fun factor of the strada.:ride: I really just posted it to show that because something looks different doesn't mean it doesn't work!!

Well you really sucked me in with the name of the thread. The Multistrada's looks are actually growing on me.

One of the guys on the Multi site says he always approaches his strada from behind - I don't go quite that far but all of us loyal strada riders reckon most other bikes only see the rear view anyway! LOL. The bike looks great when you are riding it and as you say, the looks grow on you slowly (Really slowly for some people)

Does this mean you actually own one, mate? I don't know if I should admit but yep. A red 620 - I thought about the 1000 but liked the idea of only 180kg and lower seat and as a returning old guy I wasn't sure that the 1000 might be a bit much. As it is I am more than happy with it.:2thumbsup

I know which one I'd rather do the Coro loop on, and it ain't the Gixxer.

i love the bike.
not that fairing though.

A naked one would be a monster 620.
