Yup, they do post things out. Gives them something to do back at the station while eating those donuts...:motu:
Search Scumdogs recent posts, he put up the full scale of taxations quite recently.

And I thought I was hard done by for getting a "not wearing your seatbelt sir" ticket. I tried to tell him that it was coz I'm always on my bike, he even asked what bike I ride (rode) while writing out the ticket.

ask the cop to check next tme you're stopped, or any local (esp rural) station should tell you if you produce your licence.
or, list your tickets on here - we'll tell you

I would list my tickets but I can't remember them all. .. bad bad me. I am always gettting snapped for usually 20k over or something like that. I should invest in a radar detector.

i really do. but then cruising mode kicks in and 130 is not very hard at all. Went for a cruise out in the countryside yesterday and managed to sit on 110 for a couple of hours. then all of a sudden, after coming out of some twisty bits, i found myelf doing 140, and what ya know, police show up. In this case I just got a finger wave from the cop. So pleased he didnt stop. so pleased. This is one of the main reasons I havent brought my ZX10 yet (my dream bike). Just too damn irresponsible.

Is it like Lotto? You just show up at the station with your tickets and they scan them to see if you've won?

If you ring LTNZ, is it the motor registration number or something? It's in the phone book anyway. 0800. They'll tell you how many demerits, but it only counts the ones that have actually gone through. This one won't have gone through yet (assuming the cop actually IS going to send you a ticket). I'm still waiting for a 120-something from May 2004.

considering the 6 month statute of limitations, i wouldn't be too worried about that one.
and boomer, i'd be banking on the cop forgetting to write the ticket out.

Bummer boomer! Pity it wasn't just a camera, then you wouldn't have got demerits.
One of the group I was riding with down to Wanganui last week got pinged doing 117 in 100 zone down through National Park of all desolate places, I turned back and asked the officer 3 times to let her off, the best he said he could do was to reduce the ticket to 115 instead of 117 which saved said rider about $100 and 5 or 10 demerit points!

Someone that was riding with us got pinged (we assume) by the camera van in the Nasho at around 200 kph. Have to wait and see if a ticket comes in the mail to them i suppose... will make a good photo request. I wonder if the guy was going too quick for the cam?
If that experiment that Top Gear did holds true here, you'd have to be doing over 170mph (about 270km/h) before the camera can't see you...

call LTSA on 0800 822 422, quote your license number and they'll tell you how many points you have - easy....but not fun.
They are very efficient as I was lucky enough (NOT) to get 25 points before I even had a NZ licence !!

If you don't have a licence they just allocate you a pseudo licence until such time as you obtain a actuall current licence. Any demerits you earn while unlicensed are put on that pseudo licence number.

on the way home, come up to a set of traffic lights, they just turned orange, so i gunned it a bit, 83ks, only for a a little bit,
then i saw him, and then i saw his flashing lights, so i pulled over very quickly, and waited, thinking, :what speed was i doing, going through those lights:
but the fine copper, had my speed, on his radar thingy, so he told me , "you did 83ks,
i said "was I"
he said "It must of been you trying to get through that orange light'
i said :yes"
at this point i was thinking , fu--k.
but this nice copper, said, that before he got me doing 83ks, he had me doing 60ks, and would issue the tickict for that speed,
he looked at my bike, 1997 Honda Fireblade 900 RR(best bike on the planet)
and said what a nice bike i had, and it must have a lot of grunt, and that it would be hard to keep to the speed limit on it, I just sort of made a noise like "herrrummmm yeah"
So a $30 tickit
i dont think i,ll be that lucky next time.

Nice tinted visor so the ladies can't see me mentally undressing them :woohoo:
