Be the first in 2006 to experience the exhiliration that is TRTNR.
Carpark, bottom of Maungaraki Hill, SH2 between Petone & Melling. 6pm for ride at 6.30. Usually ends up at Breakers pool hall (above Grumpy Mole).
Route to be determined at meet up. All paces welcome, the fast crew are smokers so they don't mind waiting.
Can't promise spectacularly calm weather, can't promise wheelies, stoppies or runners but the barmaid was hot last week, in a Lower Hutt kinda way, so that's worth turning up for if nothing else.
See yas there.

Unfortunately I must deduct points for her having no visible underwear. But were I not a married man I'd happily show her what only a Kawasaki owner can...

Doesn't look as bad as yesterday. A few of us headed round the lake and back and it was a tad gusty at times.
AND we saw a cop on the East West access road. :shit:
I'll be keen for tomorrow night.

You guy's are lucky you got back when you did....
Fark, it was soo bad last nite that the TV aerial has broken of the roof AND the BBQ got flipped over and blown across the balcony. I was all alone and scared last night.... :crybaby:

It was a marked station wagon so probably wasn't too interested in collecting tax, cause I mean he would have had us if he wanted
We were doing just a wee bit above the limit - I stabbed the brakes initially then thought what the hell, it must be sooo obvious when the front end dives rapidly.
A brief glance was about all we got.

Help me out here...is the east-west link blah blah the road between feathers and martinborough? Or maybe a part of the lake road?
Ta.

goes around the south side of the lake.
Take the very first right at Featherson, follow that for about 10-30 minutes depending on your speed and hang a left.

Ah, yes I know the one. What the hell would a cop be out there for? Weird. Playing 'hooky' maybe?

Ah, yes I know the one. Of course you do, it's the long straight piece of road where your bike develops a reverse gear.
Lucky, Deano. Wouldn't be my pick of roads for "avoiding" a ticket...

Not many escape routes, but a few hiding places.
Lucky he didn't see us a minute earlier on the sprint road.

Well it seems like we've lost our 'priveledges' at the GMole now. The afformentioned barmaid seemed determined to only let us have the pool table for the alloted hour that we'd paid for, and the food was 45mins late! Bit of a change from the free food and pool that we had a month ago. I'm wondering if it's cause we don't park our bikes right outside the pub like they requested, but I guess it's a small price to pay for being able to keep an eye on the bikes over the road.
Also, Fatjim said last week that evidently the guy that was up the top of the Takas in the cafe offered to keep the cafe open on a Thurs night if we give him warning that we're coming up. That could work one time eh. It's also good to hear that they're obviously going to open up again some time soon!!
Anyway, see you all Thurs.

Not quite the sprint pace but........there was a K5 Gixxer and two 999's to keep in check.

The new barmaid probably doesn't know the rules. Will have to have a word with Sunny - get me to order this week and we'll see what influence I can exert.

Argh - I've just got home from up in the hills now and it's prob pushing it to get out there in time AND it sounds like crap weather so I guess I'll flag too. I'll pop out to the pub later though.

Been there, done that! I think I was unlucky to have taken a corner through a oil patch. Lucky I was going so slow, the bikes rear wheel slid out and dropped away from under me. I stuck my foot out so my leg wouldn't get caught under the bike and my foot slammed the ground with my weight upon it, which reflected the bike back upright again. (Since I hadn't loosened my hand grip)
Darkman was right behind me, he agrees we took the corner at a sensible speed considering the raining conditions, he heard my foot skidding along the ground as the bike came back upright. Damn - Maybe I should have done motocross! It was a good save for an expensive bike. I was taking corners like a nana after that! I'm a little concerned about the Battleaxes wet handling too. It just doesn't add up, I'm thinking I must have hit an oil patch!
