If only you were in Christchurch.
Come on now Stu it's a lovely little stroll up here, shouldn't take long. Even if you chuck your bike on the boat I'll gladly get it off for you..... and look after it for awhile.

Where are you based Crazefox? Post some details so the locals can pop in a startle ya? (Could be a local Colemans - coffe girl, crazy yank, hangers on...)

How much would it be to paint a bike completely black? Say, an RG150?

Nice one. Will keep that in mind.
Madboy might want a chat with you about that...(green 636 we were with yesterday).

Would you take in an apprentice? I want to learn that sort of stuff. Done a basic course on automotive refinishing (using sandpaper and a spray gun) for year 11/12s at Weltec, hoping to do the full year course once I leave school.

It's always good to know of people with skills like yours. I will soon post some pics of badly damaged plastics. Originally made by Honda and painted an extremely attractive shade of red...

Im on the look out for a painter/bling professional this year (later on this year) but more up Akld/Northland way Im afraid. However, some advise would be good. The original paint job on my TL is still in pretty good nick apart from a couple of scratches. Being on a limited budget (cause always need new back tyres, petrol money, oil money, fish and chips money), but still wanting to bling my bike Im hoping to 'enhance' the current paintfinish by adding a 'yet to be decided' pattern in some sort of matelic grey, perhaps lined with a lighter pinstripe edging. I want one that glows in the dark for a little extra twist. A friend yesterday mentioned he had heard of a guy using fibra-optic cable squished flat and applied to his paintwork, anyone ever heard of this?
Hope the business goes well for you.:wavey:

Cool, could you do a repair job on my slightly damaged Blackbird fairings?

Madboy might want a chat with you about that...(green 636 we were with yesterday).Yep, a BRIGHT green 636 that needs to become a very non-descript shade of BLACK. Very BLACK. No stickers, no graphics, nothing identifiable. Just BLACK.

Got a panelbeater mate who can do it, and who can also get me the materials cheap to do it myself, but it's like pulling teeth to get him off his ass to do it. Might need to have a chat with you at some stage.

Dude what are you moaning about? They're perfectly fine. Nothing a bit of sellotape wont fix in a jiffy

Oh you are about the place! Are you sure it's not a wiring problem? Crazies are what makes the world a fun place to be. And I'd rather wind ya up than drag ya down. No fight without bite!

Try Greg Lay of North Harbour Collision repairs, does fantastic work and doesnt rip you off. He's into bikes so knows his stuff. BTW fibre-optic cable only shows light at the end, not along its length.
Good luck

I don't suppose you do powder coating too?

And can you completely re-do fairings from scratch? I've got some old one's that are pretty tired and I'm keen to get them done completely again... and painted nice and shiny...

Do you have that chrome paint? Ive got two fake air filter covers on my bike that are "chrome"... but they are made out of plastic. (as seen in profile)

I want my side covers done in "chrome" as well, and they are plastic.

For quick paint jobs, my club has a painter and he's happy to help. Not to take business from crazefox though.
