A work mate of mine has just bought a tl1000s, '97. He fears his licence a bit too much to find out what its top end is, and has been hassling me to use the vast untapped power of the internet to find out.
I offered to find out in person, but i ran outa road at 220kmph. Im sure it had much more left.
So tl owners, what have you gotten out of your beasts? No masterbating please.:moon:

Yea 260ish actual speed, stock, modded, dont know only mod i ever did to my own was lopping it at 180kph, totally different bike it is now.
Just beware that changing the gearing can fuck the readout badly, most tend to drop a tooth on the front and that will have it reading faster, if you drop 2 like i did at one stage you can get 295kph on the dial looks cool but is prolly only 245kph in real speed.
This is also real handy, check out Steve from TLplanets homepage click on gearing chart in the top right, enter in sprocket and tyre sizes ............
