Good old Saffer land..oh, how I miss the'....big long highways,cops to bribe,good weather all year round...and a whole lot of crap I don't miss.

Funny story though..I did alot of work(electrical) in the townships..seen some horrific stuff!!

Apparently some other bloke here in NZ was a little bit more cunning - had power lines running through his orchard and, being more than a little au fait with electricity, secreted an inductance coil in a tree next to the power lines - was drawing free power off the grid.

Didn't quite know enough obviously - he didn't know they could isolate what part of the grid they were losing power from and, once they'd got the area, they sent someone in to walk the lines until they found the source of loss. The linesman spotted the coil up in a tree as he was passing through the orchard and they prosecuted.
