Right guys, ive just been told that Tokaanu has been canceled, so pencil the 1 night stand in for the night of Feb 4. Its one of the best rallys in the country. Friendly for all bikers, weather you ride a gn or a busa.

Heres the run down...

Some bunk rooms available (ring Mike) otherwise bring a tent Hot showers and flush loos on site.

Its a really great day and night, good rock bands and plenty of people to drink/talk shit with.

Not a bad one for those that like a bit of comfort, with the bunks and showers, you can take the missis and not listen to all the crap.

Be sure to look out for me trying to break my record of 16 people on an '87 gsx1100, no feet on the ground doin a lapof the grounds:clap:

I dont, but hope you can make it! Unfortunatly i feel that my gb400 might develop a smoke leak near the rear tyre. Common problem when i ride it to rallys:devil2:

Hey FFM, what time does the actual ride start (if gates open 11am) and is there any that arrive the night before and camp there? Just working out if it will be easier Riding from Tauranga (about 300Km/4hrs?) Friday Night or First Thing Sat (will have come down to Tauranga Friday, 400km from home).

There is no organised ride, and it is only a one night rally.. as the name sugests. The games and stuff normally start bout 1pm, and the bands about 5ish. If you want to ride down Friday, i can ofer you space at my house to stay friday night then ride out to the rally on saturday morning.

Approx how many riding hours south of Auckland are you fellas? 4hrs? I've heard that it's just 2-2.5hrs past Taupo............. I may be able to seek recruits....

2hrs from taupo? maby on a gn250! can be done in under an hour, but there has been shitloads of highway nazis on the napier side of that road lately. I counted 7 on way home from last trackday! narrowly missed gettn clocked in excess of 180! Never felt the urge to ride to auckland, so cant help with an overall time. Recruit away... Would sugest some of ya sending away for prepaid tickets... dont think itll be a problem, but it sounds like theres gonna be a few hundred people more than any other year. Party on i say!

So there isn't a chance of 'Just Rockin Up'? I'm really keen but as before, we have the NETour the weekend before so can't promise 100%.

There is gate sales! so you can just rock up. The point i was makin is that is is gonna be huge this year, and i dont know if they have a limit for people at the venue. Just thinkn that it would suck to ride that whole way only to find it too full. NEVER heard of it happening before, just playing it safe. You will have a week to recover, should be no worries... Tell everyone else theres no excuse! strippers of both genders and nude jellywrestling, what more could you want from a weekend?

Take a tent mate, or you are welcome to crash here- we aren't staying all night. We have a spare bed and room to lock your bike up (just...)

It turned out sunny and hot! fatjim left our place in the avo, escorted by MSTRS, toured a couple of our great roads, seeing the sights and marvelling at the lack of traffic around here before fatjim headed off to Palmy. We only put on the rain so you would feel right at home! Was good to meet you.

Scored myself a couple of mint gb500s for sweet fug all so happy there, took a harley loving mate for a thrash on a gs1200ss and scared him. Wasnt expecting the wheelstand! His hog mates had told him only racebikes could do it, impossible on a roadbike.

Took a 97 tl1000 for a crack too, so my mate could hear his new twobrothers screaming up the road. Primal.

Cheers to all of you for coming. My stepsister and her cousin rolled their car on the way home sunday. 0% blood alcahol, just fell asleap. Let that be a lesson to us all, they both walked away fine
