Is anyone interested in reporting biker news for the site Posting news items would be as simple as starting a new thread in the Biker News forum and it will then appear on the news page.

Open to any ideas on how to best do it. In fact open to any ideas on how to improve this site, no matter how big or small.

Fantastic idea. Will certainly try and add any news I get. A suggested improvement would be a spellchecker to imporve the spilleng on the site. Just kidding mate.

Well bluninja, your our first Intrepid Reporter. To post news just create a new thread in the Biker News forum. Only reporters will be able to create new threads in that forum, but anyone will be able to reply. Your first post in any new thread you create in Biker News will become the news item that will be displayed on the news page.

Do reporters just browse all the websites and copy the new stuff or what? I can do that!

Whatever you want. How you get the news and what you report on is up to you. Consider yourself a Kiwi Biker reporter. :)

A message for moderators and Intrepid Reporters.

I have changed the way you post news items for the news page. Now you can create the thread anywhere in the forums and just check the "make news item" option displayed when you post a new thread or edit an existing one.

This means you moderators can also edit other people’s threads and make them news items if you wish.

The old Biker News forum has been removed and it's posts moved to the appropriate forums.

OK SpankMe got that. I'm heading to Taupo on Sunday, either racing (don't laugh too hard) or watching. Will try and get some news from there....if there isn't any...or I'm too busy getting my breath after practice I'll just make some up.
