Aight I've been humming and harring about sorting something out like this for a while and nows a good as time as any.
Most of ya know i've brought into my first business, figured it was time i busted my arse for myself instead of someone else reaping the benefits, so i got myself a Hell Pizza, Kohimarama branch, store was doing pretty poorly so i got it cheap as chips and so far it's showing a positive increase in sales etc etc and all that other :bs: .
Anyhow figured it'd be a good place to meet up with a reasonable eating area and more than big enough carpark for bikes etc and people to gather talking shit and the likes, few burnouts, stoppies, wheelies.
So the plan was to set a time say 6.00 - 6.30pm for everyone to gather, i'll get orders from everyone and get it all made while people can talk shit then have a good feed, then if some of ya's are up for it we can blast off for a short ride (maybe to me and Deaths "secert" location for a bit of stunting, those not into stunting can watch and pick up the peices and most prolly piss yourself laughing, cameras are good) If someone else suggests a better ride option, i'm open to any.
Unfortunitly i cant do the pizza's etc for free but there would be a more than reasonable discount for you guys, you can count on that.
Those that haven't tried or been to hell check it out here https://www.hell.co.nz/index.jsp?city=Auckland and you can look over the menu etc to see if it might fit your tastes, even Zeds been to hell, thats gotta say something.
Would be real cool to catch up with some of you guys as i haven't been doing a hell of alot of riding as of late, and even meet some new faces.
Be also good if you intend on coming to let me know, and i'll update this thread with who's coming, either PM me or reply in this thread.
Cool hope to catch more than a few of ya's there
*EDIT* Suppose i'd better tell ya's where exactly it is aye:
295 Kepa Rd, Kohimarama
Just round the corner from the ASB Stadium

I'm in Titirangi, if you want I'd be happy to meet up. I don't think I've been there before either, but looks easy enough to get to. Simplest way from here would be to take the motorway into the city/port exit, head along tamaki drive then turn right just after the small bridge into Ngapipi road and continue straight into kepa road at the roundabout. Then it's just a matter of spotting the place.
I'll pm you my cellphone number since I'll be at work all day tomorrow.

what i saw was pretty good fun, good to see the ZXR come out on top of the 250 drag race - and big ups to erik for the *massive* wheelie he popped :2thumbsup
when i get some fibreglass fairings i'll be keen to join in, but i gotta focus on paying the bike off first
my old man works at top hat (off that road) on saturdays and said when i got home that the police actually 'monitor' that road for 'that exact reason'... :hitcher:
erik
10th January 2006, 21:34
That was heeaps of fun, particularly when the 250's got out there to have a drag race. I got left way behind, but I discovered it isn't so hard afterall to get the Zeal to lift the front a bit. :D
Must've got it up a good 10cm once or twice :o but that was just using the clutch, so if I get my timing right with yanking on the bars, maybe I could do a bit more of a wheelie.
I thought I'd felt the front wheel lift a bit accelerating out of a corner once before, this proves it can do it :)
The pizza was bloody good too, managed to eat a double size envy pizza. It was almost too much for one person, but not quite ;).
Thanks for organising this Bruce and good luck with the business.

Thanks for organising this meet Bruce, twas most enjoyable. Nice business you've got there too, food was delicious, price was even better! :msn-wink:
Great to meet up with so many members 2nite, must've been about 25+ bikes parked outside Hell's (see pics). Then off we ventured to our secret destination where the *real* fun began and continued without interruption for about 3/4 of an hour before I had to depart for home. Great to see the crowd entertained by us learner stunters!

Yeah he thought it would be safe out the front of the shop...
rather than left out by all the other MOTORBIKES,
but I thought differently and lifted the bike up and put it inside the shop...

Sorry i missed the frivolity - as i told LB and Speedy - i had a workshop appt booked for the tbird and i had to do some stuff for a warrant.
I tagged out there is case the workshop fell through but had to bail - I had a superb ride around the city past all the night spots in case some of youse were congregated somewhere.
we should have nominated a meet up spot for later.

A meeting place for later would be a good idea so that when that funny wailing noise is heard in the distance again and everyone tootles off kind of quickly, there is somewhere to go...

Mint night, i had a bloody good time, and a good turn out much better than i expected, cheers for all the good comments and wishes of luck/support it's much appreciated. Only thing that could've been better was maybe speeding the ordering up a little.
Hope you all enjoyed the food, nice to meet quite a few new faces and catch up with some old and older. Thanks to all who made the effort to come along special mention to Momentium and Dss3 who blasted up from Hamilton, nice one guys.
Yeah for sure making it something like a monthly thing might be a way to go, of course as i said the whole stunting thing wont be everytime, as it's only really applies to a minority of the riders, even though i'm sure it was entertaining at times. No one binned it so that was mint.
Jimmy mate you were missed what shit were you upto, swung by Bowflex but you weren't there?
Erik nice wheelies mate, bit more practice and you'll be on your way, and everyone else who got out there and had a play, good skills, best time to get some good practice in too.
I was stoked did my first real stand ups, little weird but first time always would be i guess, stoppies were coming together okay, but the TL is still a pig compared to the K3, first rolling burnout for me as well, was interesting, if only tyres weren't so fricken expensive.
To all KBer's if you catch me at the store and i'm not tooo busy i'll hook you a discount for sure.
Get more pics up too, see ya's at the next one

On a side note bruce, how long you had the place? and congrats on the new gaff
I picked it up end of october, i think, the previous 2 managers did rather poorly at the store and hurt the customer base quite badly so it's a bit of battle to get it sorted, but i'm sure we will get there, already a 20% increase in sales and this is the "quiet" time of the year.

I want to see what happened when the rear wheel on my bike lost traction.
Well, this pic has surfaced from somewhere. I dont think its your bike, cause it wasnt there was it? Where ever "there" is . . . I know I wasnt, in fact if you look closely at this you will realise that its not actually a photograph, but just a figment of your imagination.
