Rosebank Speedway, often a school/training on pratice nights...which are wednesday I think.Contact the Speedway Riders Club to check dates....or just front up if you see cars parked there on a week night.

I wonder if you have to have your own bike? there dosn't seem to be speedway bikes forsale anywhere.

I have a loan bike - pictured.
It's done quite a bit of racing but been well looked after.

Is seems to be gold plated? mind if I get it dirty? fall off a few dozen times?

It's only won 4 world championchips & insured for 1.2m. Touching the gold plating leaves marks from the acid in our skin. We had to pick my son up & carefully lower him on it. Just don't tell Ivan

I think there are loan bikes to train on,you can start off with a bike powered by a 125/200cc Honda, then move up to a 2 valve.Go to a meeting, often bikes are for sale,a lot is word of mouth, and I've seen some on TradeMe.
