Pretty good trip around the SI over Christmas.

Off the ferry to Chch, then down to Mt. Cook (stopping to look at the power station at Alex (forgotten the name)), then Dunedin (stopping at Clyde), Catlins, Milford (stopping at Manapuri), Queenstown, Oamaru (stopping at Benmore), and others along the Waitaki valley, back to Chch, then up to the power station at Coleridge for a few nights, then over to Moana (near Greymouth), The Buller Gorge, Nelson and finally back to Picton, for a slow bumpy ride on the ferry to Wellywood.

No dramas apart from the rain at Queenstown.

Milford sound is well worth a spin if you get the chance. Catlins coast road now all sealed.

I'll post some pics when I get them developed.

Cheers

Sounds like a good ride. The power station at Alexandra is the Clyde Power Station. :niceone:

Hey you guys, when you go through the Waitaki valley on these rides, if you need a break or a coffee etc, call in if you like.
We live at Otematata (Where Benmore Power Stn is). Cheers john.
