would you believe that this is the 4th day I have woken to damn drizzle...
the 4th day I am riding my pushbike to work ...IN THE FARKING DRIZZLE!
why am I riding my pushie?
Cos my car is having its bumper repaired due to a nameless person rear-ending it.... and my motorbike was having a new tyre put on yesterday and then ended up taking a detour home via Akaroa.
This is the 2nd push-bike this week as my usual one managed to get itself a slow leak on monday, rode home and pumped it up, rode to work and pumped it up, rode home and broke a brake cable on the way home. So now it has only 1 brake and 1 non flat tyre...GRRRRRRRRR
So I did some pinching of my own...hehehe...viola COOL BIKE TO RIDE.
Got another 4 kms hour outa it....anything gotta be better than my 15 year old heavyweight pushie!
3 ways for me to travel to work...and all of them failed, just as well I got a winning smile eh?

Moral of the story: NEVER plan on the weather

Yea it sucks to be going to work...

I would much rather have Chch weather than Hamilton weather (lived in Hamilton for 25 years). The weather here is much more predictable though the fkwits on TV don't seem to be able to get right.

Yeah great. And as I sit behind my PC in my office, I can see quite a few bikes on the motorway taking advantage of the weather. Bastards. That fire exit is looking mighty tempting...

actually I THINK? that is good news... cos I'm heading south tomorrow :spudflip:
still gotta get home tonight, but at least it has 8 more hours to possibly dry out before I head off on the pushie. Good thing tho, I was able to con a ride to work this morning :msn-wink: on account of the REALLY strong winds as well

One hopes. Need a job first but odd coincidence, that happens to be why I am out here in he first place....
Even more of a coincidence is the fact that the place I am interviewing at is near the bike shop here that sells Ducatis...:blip:

We're not used to all this stuff you call "rain" down here in Chch. Hehe. In fact, we only know what it is because the farmers keep demanding it! :wait:

Still, it makes a hell of a change to the constant nor-westers and 25+ degrees we had there for a while. I don't like the heat much so it's nice that it's raining. Having said that, it's not exactly cold either.

Poor Rashika. I reckon you should give the person who dented your bumper a good :eyepoke: and then maybe a :bash:, and to finish him off in style a :kick:

I hate riding a motormacicle in that heavy misty drizzle- it just sits on your visor and builds up till your looking through a puddle. And its very effective at saturating gear- give me proper heavy rain any day.

sounds like that is exactly what is going on out there, if the loud humming on the roof of the factory is anything to go by...given that I am locked up inside a big concrete box :(

and yeah i will keep the first part in mind....altho i think he has suffered enough re the bumper

That'll be handy, you could always arrange for your pay to be credited direct to the Ducati shop.

I've thought of doing that with the local Honda dealer :-)

Nah mate, believe me, you would prefer chch rain (or what most people class as drizzle). Come up here and I'll show ya what proper rain is, believe me its not that plesant whilst riding in it.
