Woo hoo, just sold my Beemer, the guy is picking it up on Tuesday night! So being called Beemer will be kinda odd now...

But I don't fancy being called Goose... or LOOSE, which is my number plate...!

After what you told me at Sawyers about what others thought you meant by being married but love singles "Loose" sounds OK doesn't it. We won't tell Andy.

Spruce Goose?

I could call myself Lotto - because now I have sold the bike, I feel a bit like I have won Lotto!

Or "Not Scared" because now I can tell my mother I have a new bike - well, I've actually had it since our honeymoon last April but as I owe her some money, I hadn't told her!

As for you, Merv, you'll keep! Just because someone figured that "married but love singles" meant something a little more playful!

But I can't think (or type, thank heavens for the backspace key...) straight as I have been celebrating with a wine or ten, so I'll go away and have a little deliberation - while watching Amelie, great movie if you haven't seen it.

Perhaps something befitting my age, no wait, Old Rider is already taken!

Lucy Goosey?

I like Spruce Goose - although as my beloved pointed out, didn't it only fly once? Oo er!

I don't want to go with Lucy Goosey as all the old guys look at it now and say "is your name Lucy?" whereas all the young guys go "loose, I like it!"

Even Spruce would be good on its own - too big for a bike plate though, so I'll stick to LOOCE.

Would be a really confusing place if we changed our names, everytime some major event happened in our lives. Imagine having to post your license in for a name change every other week. Still that could be quite cool.

Haven't had a blue ninja for 5 years....tried Black Mille, but people kept reading the last name as Millie and I got a few strange pms. Too much hassle to change the name everywhere in internet land so left it alone.

Shit, methinks it may be easier to keep it as is and just explain where the name came from if the need arises!

We used to have a cat called Beemer too - because when she walked her gut stuck out both sides like cylinder heads! At least my name DOESN'T refer to that! (Yet.)

Sold the F650CS? - I bought one from Shannon last week. Goes great.
Name - How about Fayzuki or a name with no brand connections that you can keep forever, perhaps incorporating your name/hobby/pet.

Did you pick up the blue one that was on Trade Me? I noticed it after listing my bike there. The CS is a great bike, I just never felt totally confident on it at low speed due to duck's disease! If it had been a little narrower I would have been fine, but I got to the stage where I hated turning out of our steep driveway and also stopping at the end of our road as it is on a bit of a slope. Since getting the Goose I've rediscovered my love of riding and have no problems getting both feet down.

Bought that one off TM. I had definite ideas on what I wanted from a bike but never thought of the CS, but it's perfect for my requirements. It feels lighter than it really is due to the low c o gravity because of the mid-ships tank. Boy it's economical too. Just had a fill after my week's work and got 280 km before the light came on = 28 km/l=79mpg!
Sad that you lost confidence in it but hey, you're still on wheels and loving it. Good on ya.
