View Full Version : It's a GIRL!

ManDownUnder
16th January 2006, 12:31
Baby girl born to my wife Saturday morning, 9:00 on the dot.

Birth went as well as it could stage 2 kicking off at 4:30 delivery at 9:00 and home by 1:30!

Mum's happy and doing well
Baby's asleep and doing well
Brother is stoked
Sister is stoked
Dad is stoked.

It's as good as it gets for a birth. Water births are awesome - highly recommended

Baby has no name yet, and weighed in at 7 lbs (3.08 kgs) on the day... 17 days early!
MDU aka proud daddy

Cheers... and I never thought I'd say this - but I don't know what was more fun - making baby or playing catch at the end.

I know I did sod all work betwen times though

I have a refreshed/newfound respect for midwives though. Awesome people!

naming suggestions are fine with me.

A couple of "parameters"
Last name "Kelly"
NO initial that spell summat rude or stupid
Manx heritage (Isle of Man - TT Races as in)

edit - make them girl names
NO androgenous names (Tony/Toni etc)

WRT
16th January 2006, 12:58
Yeah April was hot.

Right-eo. Now we have April Kawa-Suzi MDU.

Anyone else got something to add?

could call her 'Jelly' with a silent 'J'?

Or you could do the retro 90s thing and name her after her place of conception... so that would be?? Kitchen-Table Kelly?

Good news MDU. Now it's wait for 15 years then you get to scare the bikers that'll come nosing round.

My daughter is 11 and I've told her she can go anywhere she likes, with whoever she likes, at whatever time of day she likes and do whatever she likes.

And she knows I'll be 3 feet away at all times with a large rusty knife!

Condradulations! Our 3rd was a waterbirth too...he just floated around checking things out, looked like he was thinking,''yep, looks pretty cool here, think I'll stay''.And a big ups for the midwives too,our 4 kids had the same midwife for 3,and one midwife for 2 - they both came for the last one,it's really special to have that bond with them. When our kids were born we kept away from the family names bit - like,''how come you named them after that lot and not me?!'' But now that we have reshearched our families I kinda feel we should of honoured our forebears....the names have come down, and then stopped at us.

Mr MDU well done mate.... so where are the pic's of the little one.

As to names for the baby... I could come up with a few names, but both Mrs MDU and you will have the fun finding the right name for this little one.
Just make it easy for her to spell when she gets to school.

So now we have another little junior KB'er in our midst... gee the list keeps on growing of little KB'ers.

And Bugjuice and Sniper its HANDS OFF....

MDU - Has 14/1 been given a real name yet...

Not yet - there's no hurry y'know.

We have a shortlist (actually I have a solo list) and I'm waiting for my beloved to work through her options till we eventually work out something that suits.

We're close, but then - we were close just before those 4 books of baby names arrived at our house... at the same time at the outlaws.
Yaa - go figure

"Baby" will do for now. That's what we call her.
