Hiya peoples,
I had a tribute ride home today from work in remeberance of my Father's anniversary passing away and went the long way home on the ZX-10 despite there being rather nasty winds today in the Capital.
(there were even some 11,000rpm runs that I dedicated to Dad ;) :ride: )
Thanks for your well wishes (esp Scorpygirl) .
My Mother was rapt when I told her about the KB thread.
....and if it wasn't for him plonking me on this CR-80 while I was 12 years old for the very first time, I wouldn't be here 23 years later !!!
Cheers,
Chris

Here's a pic I'd like to share...Motorcycling with the whole family involved.
Mum took the pic of myself, my sister and my Dad in 1982 at Pukekohe in the pits.
Back then he worked for Mike Vinsen Suzuki in Auckland, hence the t-shirts me (sitting on the wire-wheel Kat) and him are wearing.
Photos like these are priceless.

When I was about 14, my Mum and Dad each bought brand-new GSX-550E's (remember them?). Dad's was Blue and White and Mum's was Red and Gray.
Us 4 went every in the Summer on those. I'll see if I can sort out a pic of the machines.

Well done that man! Going for a pegs-down memorial ride is a great way to celebrate a loved one that rode - did mine for my dad back in November.
It's great you've got photos - my dad had a bike before my time, but I'm damned if I can find any photos...there was just his retro speed-striped helmet hanging about in the gargre!

I'm sure Dad would have been hanging on tight to the grab rail as I approached warp-factor-8 on '10.
Every now and then when I don't have a lot to do or don't feel like doing a lot, I'll just peruse some old photos of him.
Some make me laugh, some make me sad,...but all make me miss him.
