I've found an engine suitable to replace my current one (it's thrown a spaz), but the problem isgetting it from Auck to Chch for areasonable price. Couriers don't seem to do anything over 25Kg. Has anyone got any suggestions for shipping companies that'll do something around the 50-60Kg mark without burning a hole the size of a meteor in my pocket?

Well i got an engine sent from way down south to Thames,it came by a general carrying company, cost was not that much, about $50 and it was here in a week.
It was sent straped an a plastic fish bin,and it seemed to be no trouble to have it delivered to my door. :niceone: :sherlock:

I might be able to help you out. Can you find out how it is packaged (preferebly strapped to a cut down pallet or similar and give me cubic measurement and weight. We use a pretty good freight company for national deliveries through work and it could be possible.

Sounds good - I'll have to look into it at the Auck end - I don't thinks its packaged in anyway at the moment. I'll see what I can organise. I'll be getting a whole lot of other goodies with it too (most of the electronics, carbs, exhaust, tacho/speedo etc :2thumbsup ).

You could try Scott haulage, they handle our inter island stuff that's over 30kgs. they are a SI company with pickup's in the NI.
