Yep, I second that. Better late than never I guess. Our job now is to flood TVNZ with emails of thanks.

Meh. Motorsport on free to air TV is pretty well dead. Not fair :(

Except, if you're an evil bastard, like me... and have SKY. :blip:

But still, even with SKY motorsport coverage in New Zealand is very much lacking. No British 2L touring cars, and many other popular overseas racing series. At least we get SBK coverage!

Its good to mention Shell Helix but Ssangyong a Koean car manufacturere is actualy the major sponsor for the series this year so we should also make mention of them because as they make cages there is nothing in it for them apart from the naming rights and the media coverage of their name that this media coverage brings. also one of the comentators on today's coverage Paul Pavletitch has just accepted the position of CEO of motorcycling NZ the body that Govern all motorcycle racing events in New Zealand I belive that Paul will be a big asset to all forms of motorcycle racing in his new position having done the hard yards in all forms of motorcycle racing during the 70's 80's and early 90's and also because he obviously already has a media presence.

Was good coverage. Showed all the near misses with the hay that Chris and others had too. I blinked at the start of the Supermotards and missed what happened to Steven Briggs AGAIN! The new lap record still amazes me. 49.92 on a 600 you can so down the shop and buy! Oh, and you have to be as smooth as Chris Shirrifs is these days. Must say his riding has improved heaps with age. I digress, the first time the record got into the 50 second mark was with some pretty special race preped factory machinery.

I too must say a big upps to Ssangyong.

Recorded it while I was in the garage working on the bike. Will watch it shortly. I do use Shell Helix in the car, but its Castrol all the way in the bikes.

That was some great racing.

I recorded it as well. Will attempt to correct a slight audio/video synch problem at the end of the program and burn it to dvd as well.

To the other people that recorded it, did you get any interference in the picture/sound? I got several short blips (dunno what else to call them). I don't know if it's my computer, some local interference, or something wrong with the broadcast. Just curious.

My reception is ratshit but no problems with my recording otherwise. Watched the Pukekohe races, man they were great. Will watch the Wanganui stuff another time, got other things to get on with for now.

Our tape ran out after the second sidecar race at Wanganui. Does anyone know whether they showed any of the post classic races?
