So all those in the following area, please read this.

Location of incident: Otaki
Incident Type: Urgent Health Warning
The New Zealand Fire Service have asked to pass on the following information, given under the authority of the Health Protection Officer, Regional Health.
Due to smoke generation from a large industrial fire in Otaki, all those living South of Otaki should consider the following:
People with known respiratory conditions, such as asthma or heart problems should remain inside with doors and windows closed.
Vehicles travelling through the area should reduce air intake from outside by closing external vents or set the air to circulate within the vehicle.
If anyone experiences health difficulties as a result of this incident, they should seek medical advice.
This information applies until a cancellation is received.
