Now it can be said that what differenciates the bicycle from the motor bike is the presence of an internal combustion engine, albeit on a very simplistic level.

I've just spent the last 20 minutes pouring ove a workmates new professional grade down hill mountain bike - and the conclusion I've come to is, its just a moto-crosser with the engine taken out!

A set a disc brakes that would stop a bus, proper telescopic forks and mono shock that look like they came off a sportsbike, with adjustment! A frame the size of drainpipes. Some serious gear changing I'd not seen before. Renthal bars And a set of tyres that would fit on dirt bike.

It also feels and looks HUGE for a bicycle. Some bright spark is going to come along and stick a 125cc engine in there and you'll have some sort of motorbicycle thingy.

Its a brave new world people, hold tight.
