It seems club 250 is shrinking at a bad rate :(
It happens to the best of us but the best thing you can do is get back on the bike! Take it as a hard-earned lesson (and for sure you won't forget about roadworks ever again!) and be thankful that you are here to tell the story.

geez give him a break already, he just came off his bike.
hey upon1, good to hear you're not too hurt (you know, more broken bones etc).
I'm not a big fan of the old stone chips either, once binned a sj50 on loose stones which wasn't too pretty.
Rest up, good luck with the insurance.

I feel for you mate. I've had a couple of off's and the worst I've had is a scratched knee.
I had to wait a month for the insurance verdict to come through for my bike and it was agony.
make sure that wrist is strong before putting too much work on it tho. straight out of the cast is when its most likely to break again.
oh is it the left or right...if its the left I might risk a little riding myself because the cast should take any strain on the wrist.

Gutted man and yeah we all know why our club shrinks the fastest most of us are learners or a large percentage are learners or resticted lience holders, anyways my tip is find a judo instructor and ask them how to fall properly once you understand how to break fall as its called it will help you alot when it comes to crashing don't do judo myself but i do karate and some of my class mates love to dump people on the ground very fast and very hard so you learn quickly how not to break things, also mate where you wearing decent gloves they tend to reduce the risk of breaks
