Went for my usual pootle on Sunday afternoon (like a burn but slower) - up SH16 to Helensville, across to Wellsford then back down to Auckland. I was a bit later than usual setting out (hey, it was my birthday on Saturday) so the traffic coming back south was a bit worse than usual. In fact it was pretty much solid from Warkworth to Orewa - cages bumper to bumper all the way. I was able to get past most of the queue at a slow pace but when I came to the double lane sections a curious thing happened. Since nobody was going anywhere fast they didn't bother to use both lanes, so there was this great big empty lane up the middle of the road with nobody on it...

Driving past all those little cagers stuck in their stationary hot boxes at 100 kph, I remembered why I love being a biker. :2thumbsup

Sweetness. I'd've been on the lookout for someone suddenly realising the same thing and pulling out into it though.

I love double apostrophe's.

well I was in that traffic, and its actually good that they were doing that, when cages try get two cars ahead in the passing lane it only slows everyone down. So when cunts tried that I didnt let them back in, and at the next one most of the cars straddled the two lanes only leaving a bike sized space on the right.

It was amazing people were driving with a touch of logic!
