Hi, Just a quick intro!

I'm Mike, a Brit currently in transition to NZ in search of a better lifestyle, cleaner place to live, nice roads, chaper fuel and of course a chance to spend more time on 2 wheels.

My current bike is my first, after passing my test last April. At 29 I suppose I am a 'Born Again Biker', doing things I didn't do in my youth, some could say it was a mid life crisis!

However, here's the toy (pics attached):

2000 SV650s with a few modifications:

Carbon Can Company Tri-Oval End Can
GSX-R Rearsets
Black AirBlade Double Bubble Screen.

Also a pic of the minimoto toy, 49cc of 2-stroke fun!

Thanks! We (me my wife and my daughter) were in NZ last year for a few weeks, around Auckland and further north to Bay of Islands.
The country as a whole was fantastic, the roads, way of life and the people. The only ignorant people I met were tourists!

Anyway, our house plus my bike is up for sale next month, then hopefully off to Wellington in search of IT jobs and an R6:)

29 is no where near a mid-life-crisis or anything of the sort! I'd have ta shoot ya. So you can't be 'born again' either. You were just taking a break, k?
And no, I'm not stressing about my age either.

From one pom to another tho, welcome mate ;)
Where abouts in the UK are you moving from? There's a few poms around here. And then there's F/F..

I'm currently living in Darlington although it's a cess-pit. I'm from Hartlepool and Norton (more recently) so I'm about 40 miles south of Newcastle.

South of Manchester and you are all cockneys :D
If I was going to stay in the UK I'd head over to the Lake District or Scotland, but property prices are stupid.

Mate if your having a mid life crisis at 29, i hate to think what you will look like or do when you hit 40.

Still by moving to NZ im sure you will increase your life expectancy from 58 to at least 82, so you can have a second southern mid life crisis at 41.

All the best for your transition over to Aoteoroa, and safe motorcycling! :ride:
