lil white butterfly decided to launch an attack today as i went through to palmerston. did you know those butterflies are yellow inside? left its head on my sunglasses and its guts all around my eye. also had a fly leave its guts on my headlight. poor thing was still alive when i pulled it off, so i put it out of its misery.

3 hours cleaning and thats what happens. get rid of cetemeter thick cow shit to replace it with bugguts

My cousin hit a big grey heron at 160 and it nearly knocked him off....I happened to be a pillion at the time and watched this bird fly straight up....then straight down and commit suicide onto the road.:thud:

Worst I've had was a blackbird into the shoulder....felt like I'd been punched!

No signs were posted about the possibility of white butterfly strike?? Who was responsable for it's whereabouts? If it was outside a farm you could probably sue the farmer - he deserves it for letting them fly around unrestrained and not putting up signs.Don't let this happen to you! Get tough!

quite a few of the little buggers on the roads today....annoying cos butterflys represent [to me at least] people who have died, so i dont like being the reason for the death of one. this one sorta sat on the bridge of my nose after hitting. got such a shock all i thought to do was shake my head to clear my face.

on the upside, about 98% of the bikes i saw on the road either waved or nodded in return.:2thumbsup

Riding across the Aussie desert somewhere between Darwin and Alice springs daughter and I a encountered a sea of large purple butterflys (nope not smikin anything either) that just fluttered up in front of us and splattered us and bike with thier yellow internals! They went for miles and at the next fuel stop there were a couple of cars that were also yellow on the outside and getting hosed down. You can imagine what we looked like when we arrived creating quite a bit of laughter from the locals.. At 40 deg C plus we also welcomed the hose.
