What's up with this stuff? I heard that it's the business and that GP riders are beginning to use it...so how come it doesn't seem to cost the bomb? At least in the case of this suit:

My new leathers are kangaroo leather and they are awesome. So soft and comfortable and really really light. I've got the exact suit thats in that ad on ebay. It took my crash at ruapuna on the weekend very well. Only a small rip in the fabric on the arm, not the leather. The arse and left side got a good working over and there isn't any significant wear or stitching coming away to be seen. Highly recommended.

Cheers K14...just what my almost already sold mind wanted to hear.

did you buy from this 'Flyin Brian's Deals' site on eBay? Or where, and how much if you wouldn't mind sharing? Any info on sizing would be helpful too.

Thanks heaps.

Been wondering about this stuff myself. Anyone know if there are any NZ stockists or importers?

Interesting comment on their website [here (http://www.motogpapparel.com/mgpweb.nsf/0/C80069EFD9D62508862570B5006CA5C7?opendocument)].
Cannot be sold in California or New York
Wonder why that would be the case?

Most of the worlds top soccer players now wear kangaroo skin boots. It provides the same strength as cow hide from half the thickness.

Some motorcycle glove manufacturers put kangaroo on the palm of the glove to provide better "feel". The German firm Held are one such.

In the movie "Faster" one of the riders (Capirossi?) talks about how Dainese make the GP riders suits from kangaroo skin and that movie is now several years old.

Nah I got it from another place in the states, http://www.motorcycletoystore.com/ very good to deal with. All up it cost $1200 landed, was really happy with that.

Not too sure how to talk about sizing, its a 42/52 and fits me really well. I'm 6 foot and a really skinny bugger but it fits pretty well. I've read that its a "tight fit" when compared to other brands. Also you have to remember that roo leather doesn't stretch like cow leather, only very minutely.
