I had some work done on my bike today by Kerry the owner of Motohaus (http://www.kervan.co.nz/default.htm), 6 Western Springs Rd, Kingsland, Auckland, and as per usual he did a great job for a good price! I know many a KBer hold Kerry in high regard for his service to them in the past.

The purpose of this thread is to encourage all Auckland KiwiBikers to consider giving Kerry some of your business. Currently he sells tyres, *bikes*, mufflers, helmets, pack-racks, and a small range of accessories that is expanding in the not too distant future. He will be restructuring his whole showroom shortly so it will be worth popping in to check it out anyway.

With the total relocation of Motomail next door, Motohaus will come under some sales pressure in the immediate future and only time will tell just how much business Motomail previously attracted for Kerry.

So please support Motohaus any way you can, he will take care of you even more if you mention you are a KBer! :niceone:

Kerry has always provided me with great service as well... I would recommend him too!

I remember one time (in band camp  )... my clutch was really getting quite stiff so I took it into him for a quick lookie, it needed the cable lubed, quick job and it was done.. what did he charge me? A can of coke! He is a good guy :yeah:

Looked after the Zeal for me, great work, always fairly priced...

Well...er....no:Pokey:BUT he does get me whatever I want and at a bloody good price too.....and though he's not ALWAYS the cheapest, the guys service and experience is well worth any extra he may charge over the opposition. Anyone who's dealt with Kerry for a while (I've dealt with him since I've been in auckland ,gotta be nearly 15 years)will tell ya he's a genuine 'good bloke',one of the few left in this business. :niceone:

I've bought tyres off Kerry,no problems there, but I've also gone to other places because he hasn't got much in my line.I'm the type of guy that likes to browze...I'll look at several and think about them for awhile, then make my decision.I really like to go to Haldane's to look at tyres - I've never seen anyone else down in the tyre showroom when I've been there, that gives me the freedom to pull tyres down, bounce them around, read all the small print on the side wall.No pressure,no busy bodies....I walk upstairs with a tyre under my arm after a glorious uninterupted communion with the black rubber.

just saying, that as much as we know Kerry is a top bloke, motohaus isn't the only shop that knows of KB.. that's all, just pointing out the obvious

Think of it as a sales & marketing ploy, any good business (including the ones on here) will recognise it for what it is and appreciate it, especially if it was aimed at them, it's just business after all!

I've typed up plugs for other bike shops in the past when they do me good service and I couldn't give a flying flip how other shops feel about it! I've worked in sales and understand the pressures Kerry is facing, so i just wanted to help.

I was in there today as well.... Must of just missed you Zed...

I went in to get my chain tightened as I was having a wee problem...
And it turned out I needed a new chain... I had to go to another shop to buy the chain as Kerry didnt have my size chain in stock...
But I went back there and he fitted it for me...

Cheers Kerry...

Also cheers to the others in there who were willing to help lift up my bike onto a box to help tighten up the chain when Kerry was so busy at the time...
These dudes were there to also get stuff done... so today it was a matter of each person there helping each other out...

Those there at the time will know what I am talking about... and Kerry found the nut.

And my bike now runs so much better now...

Got a new back tyre from Kerry a few weeks back, also found out my back brake pad was worn down to metal backing :/, I kindly asked to have said pad replaced.

I like his no BS attitude, straight up!

That's good - you keep going there - we prefer people who can fashion ENTIRE sentences over at Kingsland.

Number# rule in retail is convenience. Motomail recognised that and setup up another more convinient location. For many Motohaus in Kingsland is a dog leg.

No,I think motomail is trying to blame location for their falling sales instead of looking at the obvious.....

Depends on the individual I suppose. Yesterday I dropped into Motohaus to pick something up but Kerry did not have what I needed so I went to Motomails new shop. What a pain.
